A "CARPARKING" Public Message To Our Mount Druitt Community - From Westfield Centre Management, Mount Druitt

Communities can only work together, if businesses, governments and individuals all work altogether harmoniously with thoughts of optimistic future and properly planned communities for future living.

There have been plans made before I arrived at Mount Druitt, for Mount Druitt to be what it was in June of 1990. I have spoken to Mount Druitt historical society members and got a different picture  of  'how Mount Druitt  became what is was back then. There has been changes and positive changes - which I will talk about later.

Image result for westfield logoSo I have received  a 'Public Message" to inform our Mount Druitt and wider Community, of 'Car Park' changes that will occur at Westfield, Mount Druitt, as from Monday 4th July 2016.

It relates to 'All Day Parking'! Yes all day parking,  you are probably wondering who parks all day? Well whilst we all shop at Westfield Mount Druitt, there are the employees and owners of businesses that park their cars at Westfield Mount Druitt, they will mostly park all day.

Keeping in mind that employees and owners of the businesses at Westfield Mount may also be shoppers of Westfield Mount Druitt, this is to provide more easier and closer access car parking spaces, to Westfield Mount Druitt non all day shoppers.

Car park space is premium in Mount Druitt and for Westfield Mount Druitt to implement this car parking change, will provide a car  parking spaces more convenient, closer and easily accessible to the shop entrances and exits.

I work in the centre and am a female sometimes not getting out till 7pm working near the Coles entrance means I have to walk around the whole centre in darkness on my own to get to my car... Its unfair and rediculous..
How about some premium security by letting us park closer to feel safer in dark instead of premium parking in pure daylight.

The mall between Coles and Target is open, and when i left there was a guard in a golf cart doing laps of the area. Why do you have to walk around the centre???

how about putting surveillance up so cars don't get stolen vandalised like it has been for the past 20 years this is just a push for extra money to turn it into a paid parking complex which-will push all traffic to surrounding streets or kill business because u have a 3 hr limits

Ive spoken with Westfield staff, and as a retailer they are telling us that by doing this it may stop the need for installing any type of paid parking. they said 300-400 spots are taken by people going to work in the city, and all park at the door. i asked security, and there hasnt been a car stolen in years. They said that there is a perception because its mt druitt everyone reckons its rough and things get stolen. its not bad at all, its just what people think and i work here everyday.
