Community Leadership is something that is asked of yourself to do. To represent part of or all the community asking for what is needed, not wanted!
Anyone can be a community leader and sometimes you may not be aware that you are one. From community leaders may arise local city Councillors, members of both upper and lower houses of State and Federal governments. Then again, some community leaders may not have the same aspirations of entering into politics.
The ideal community leader places and represents the people of their community first, not self-interests only and has the passion and desire to get great results, with such patience. The ideal community leaders gives up time, volunteers, listens, talks and doesn't look at personal profit or a financial gain, out of it. The ideal community leader let's people speak and 'have their say'!
The ideal community leader presents positive ways of implementing proper improvements to community needed infrastructure and services. The ideal community leader looks for positive changes to benefit the community and then there is leadership that provides a supporting role for the community. A good leader will become more educated as they speak to different people everyday, discovering new things.
Firstly, people talking to community leaders will be providing opinions, until everyone is talking and agreeing to the same point of view. The other thing is to search details provided from the public opinion, which helps you to create the facts and find the truth. That will give them the platform to stand up for the community, dealing with relevant authorities and getting great positive result, no matter how small or big the issue is.
The best community leaders are the ones that the people from the community come to and tell what they need, asking for that little assistance to support their ideas. The more chance people talk to you, the more chance you can bring that positive idea to a positive real community improvement. Your payment as a leader, would be self-satisfaction, see that "community pride" spread with your community.
Some community leaders have open invitational community meetings, so that they can do their job. Some other community leaders talk to individuals, search information where needed and use all various forms of social media available on the internet, to get their message across: website, face book and twitter for example and other new ones as the future comes.
"Community Leaders are born within the community not bred!"
Here is a time where there is an important part of Mount Druitt that has done something out of the norm and videoed for 24 hours the community's response to Emergency Vehicles Rushing to get to their scene.
Congratulations to the crew and Station Manager at Mount Druitt Fire Station for educating the nation by Channel 7 Sunrise bringing this video as an educational tool. Drivers must not panic and be alert for driving safety, when any emergency vehicles want to pass.

Just recently, I promoted a new business, yet its' doors have closed. That happens as the rate of closing business for small business is on the high, within the first year.
There is risk after risk at hand prior to opening doors to the public: costs of making business open doors, risk of not being known, not reaching to the customer, risk of not able to advertising much due to limited outlay costs, ongoing business costs: wages, restocking, government taxes etc. 'Survival of the fittest' is the same of human nature and also with businesses: You have to have the best products and services, best principles in customer service, acceptance of being appreciated as the best advertising comes from your own customers!
Anyway, what Westfield, Mount Druitt has done is tremendous. When business close they have added a recipe free for customer as the business is boarded up, waiting for another businesses to take over.
Here is a recipe of a 'Sticky Date Pudding', try it and tell us if it is as good as it states it is? Keep it up Westfield Mount Druitt!
