Just recently, I promoted a new business, yet its' doors have closed. That happens as the rate of closing business for small business is on the high, within the first year.
There is risk after risk at hand prior to opening doors to the public: costs of making business open doors, risk of not being known, not reaching to the customer, risk of not able to advertising much due to limited outlay costs, ongoing business costs: wages, restocking, government taxes etc. 'Survival of the fittest' is the same of human nature and also with businesses: You have to have the best products and services, best principles in customer service, acceptance of being appreciated as the best advertising comes from your own customers!
Anyway, what Westfield, Mount Druitt has done is tremendous. When business close they have added a recipe free for customer as the business is boarded up, waiting for another businesses to take over.
Here is a recipe of a 'Sticky Date Pudding', try it and tell us if it is as good as it states it is? Keep it up Westfield Mount Druitt!
