Is This Great Customer Service - This Was Over 6 Years Ago At Blacktown City Train Station...

NSW Sydney Trains, Rachel at Blacktown Train Station was so cool, calm and collected when she had to announce trains delays due to a facility at Mount Druitt Train Station.


This was at night time, when commuters are generally rushing home. Delays going home, is not what they want.

A lot of people like to bag station staff and think their job is easy but in actual fact, their job may be difficult. This day, no matter what Rachel, she personally handled herself with such dignified respect for her role. Even, there was a gentleman who seemed quite rude and she most certainly handled that part exceptionally well.

Blacktown City Council - Media Release - Luke Park And Wyanda Reserve A Hit Among The Community

Playgrounds in Mt Druitt and Dharruk are buzzing with

children after receiving equipment upgrades worth more 

than $100,000.

Wyanda Reserve in Dharruk, received a $130,000 upgrade,

introducing a range of new equipment.

The $137,570 upgrade to the playground in Luke Park, Mt

Druitt, was completed with the help of a $10,000 grant

facilitated by Federal Member for Chifley, Ed Husic MP

through the Stronger Communities Grant Program.

Blacktown City Mayor Stephen Bali MP said the park

upgrades at Mt Druitt and Dharruk will positively benefit the 

community.

“Parks are a staple within the community and Council makes

sure these playgrounds are inclusive and cater to all ages,”

Mayor Bali said.

“Luke Park now includes a new swing set with a bird’s nest, a

seesaw, climbing tower with track ride and slide and a

playhouse.

“Wyanda Reserve includes a tightrope walker, swing set,

monkey bars, slides, tightrope walker and a range of climbing

equipment.”

Mr Husic said: "As a dad myself, I know how important these

play areas are to young families and their children - which is 

why it was so good to team up with Blacktown Council on 

this project.  

“In a short space of time the new playground has become a

hit with local residents, which is terrific to see."

City of Australia? - .Id The Population Experts

Imagine that if Australia's population was concentrated into one of our Capital Cities urban areas. What would it be like? How would it feel as well as how would you feel?

Our Western Sydney communities, would that then be the center of Sydney or form part of the Eastern Sydney? It is a great thought we need to keep in mid, as with our future populations expanding our living communities, in generations to come. Will these new Western Sydney communities become more cosmopolitan and be places that  more people want to shop, visit and live? Will there be 100 City Councils within our demographics? Will Mount Druitt be a City Council, in its own right? Will Blacktown be a population of 3 Million people?

Will there be blocks of 100 story buildings from stretching out to far distances? I don't have a crystal ball- who knows how the future will turn but all things does sound interesting. What are your thoughts on this?

Durham Road Pot Holes - Fixed.

Thank you to Blacktown City Council officers and other stake holders that got this road, finally fixed. Thank you to the community members that made comments of how they felt about the road, with their cars getting ruined, on the face book previous posts.

Everyone seems to enjoy railway photographs; this one is

courtesy of State Archives of NSW and shows 'The Fox'

to remember the  event?

Local Guides/ Google Not Only Helps Myself........ Helps You When You Choose

You know, we all get stuck when we want to purchase something at a place we haven't been before or  even to  explore or visit a place, you haven't been before.

Now, if  for example we go to a local place to dine/eat and you had exceptional services but the food wasn't great: normally you will let them know. That can still be done - but if you are still not satisfied with the result then adding 'Low' ratings and placing 'reviews' on Local Guides/ Google can be seen by others and send a message to the community. Obviously if both food and service was outstanding, higher rating will be  the obvious result. Rating are out of 5 and the highest '5' means the best of the best.

 I was surprised to get an email from Google this year on the contribution I have provided. I was also surprised on a picture that I have added in 2017 of Whalan Reserve  received over 51,000 views. We can all make the world more educated of our local community.
