Yes, it
is great when Mt Druitt Historical Society Inc. Face Book Group
provides current news that will be history and history normally stays
with us.
So
they have posted a story from the Blacktown Advocate, where I'm sure
bottles of wine will be open by Councillors that voted against a name
change.
My heart goes To Councillors Stephen Bali (Mayor), Jacqueline Donaldson (Deputy-Mayor), Tony Bleasdale, Charlie Lowles, Edmond Atalla, Leo Kelly and Susai Benjamin for keeping Blacktown in Blacktown City Council.
Councillors can now look forward to the real issues being dealt in front of Council developments and improvements in infrastructure. We can follow our motto 'Growing with pride'!
To me, I call it a waste of a time campaign. What would you do with $98,000 spent on this campaign?

Editor's Notes: I personally think that the Councillor Russ Dickens (who proposed the name change last year) should pay $98,000 cost of this expense. Maybe Council can pass a motion towards this idea!
