This is disheartening when good people work to have a great area to live in:Local and State politicians, NSW Transport/ Blacktown City Council Transport Department, local community members, and there is that small element from within our community that consistently like to 'wreck' part of or entire public property areas because of many reasons. Maybe they are upset, maybe they want to be the big mate in front of their 'mates', maybe they don't of the area and of course they maybe don't care of the costs involved to clean and repair broken public property! Who knows? Only them.
Ron from Whalan published a post in 'whyilovemountdruitt' Face Book Group and you can hear how upset he is, with what he discovered.
A
disturbing bit of vandalism . The only good part about it , it happened
at street level and not the sky walk leading to the station. Those big
slither of glass falling on anyone underneath, like those waiting for
taxis or such would have been so awful . This is an issue I have pointed
out to so many government bodies and I am treated as a crackpot.
So is he a 'crackpot'? No, I know him very well and he is a normal community member like you and myself. I ask the Member for Mount Druitt, Hon. Edmond Atalla, to investigate measures that can be put into place to prevent this minority of community members is destroying this important public property, even by looking at increasing Police Patrolling in the area.
There is a Poll for you to complete, on the bottom of our website, if you think that our State Member should address the issue on 'vadalising'?
This blogspot is created to try and get a great atmosphere of what Mount Druitt is all about. Also to provide photographic details of improvements in the area. We encourage all community members to add comments. Stories from community members, thoughts and comments. Send any information you would like, to advertise that you love of Mount Druitt, that is for the common good of all who live or visit the area. Become an author and publish blogs..
