Amazing How The NSW Emergency Levy Has Been Placed For Review' By NSW Premier And Treasurer

Yesterday, we reported how the NSW  Fire and Emergency Services Levy being off-loaded to NSW Local Councils from Home owners insurance policies was  looking to be implemented and how it had appeared to not be related to Council Rates Bills.

Blacktown City Council was "seeking information" from the community, in support of  the Fire and Emergency Services Levy or the opposition to it being 'Billed' by Blacktown City Council, itself.

After, 'Calling for information', suddenly the NSW Premier, Gladys Berejiklian and NSW Treasurer Dominic Perrottet have announced a review of the Fire and Emergency Services Levy being  off-loaded to  NSW Council rates.

I understand the reasoning behind moving the Fire and Emergency Services Levy from NSW Government to NSW Local Councils, as
That  the Levey wasn't paid by  householders not holding insurance and under insurers. Yet that is no reason to shift the bill across the shoulders of Local Government, who will received no direct benefit from the levy and is only administrating it.

Great news for the community in the meantime.
