I think that whilst Westfield Mount Druitt is assisting cycling commuters to park their bikes, with cycle stands at various points, it appears some cyclists don't understand where to lock up their cycles. They tend to create their own bike stand for lock up. when there is a proper one next to it. It is as simple as that.
So I would like to suggest to Westfield Mount Druitt to actually place a sign confirming this is a cycle stand and place an arrow at this very place. A sign will make them realise what they are doing.
It means that we have to make it simple for cyclists to understand. In the mean time, the new cycle stand could do with a touch up paint job, to make it look perfect.

Sometimes it takes small initiatives to make people understand what they need to do.

In light of the various crimes that have taken place and will continue to take place here (murder, public intoxication, vandalism, affray, offensive behaviour), Blacktown Council need to outline a vision for Dawson Mall on how they will improve it and reduce the fear of crime for those passing through it.
