Busways Bus Drivers Feeling 'The Heat' On Unairconditioned Buses

Today, I spoke to a Busways Bus driver and was advised of bus drivers dealing with the current extreme heat days.

I was told, "That yesterday, heaps of bus drivers called into the Busways Glendenning Depot complaining that the unairconditioned buses in the heat was difficult to drive comfortably."

This could have a detrimental affect on bus commuters within Mount Druitt and surrounding suburbs, in relation to health and safety. The bus driver advised replacement airconditioned buses were requested and only available ones were replaced.

It is estimated that there are alproximately 30 buses unairconditioned at Glendenning Depot. So there needs to be some action taken by stake holders to fix these bus issues up, immediately. Bus drivers and community members need someone to listen and act for both comfort zones on extreme heat days.
