Vinnies Vans 'Night Patrol' is a new addition that has been agreed to by Blacktown City Council and social services for them to serve the needy with the community.
Speaking to Kurt, one of the volunteers they have are involving High School Students who want to dedicate and volunteer their time to tassist with their education. They are not here as a result of 'SBS Struggle Street' portrayal, they have from servicing the Penrith area to Mount Druitt are as from just on a week.
They will be based at the end of Kelly Close, Mount Druitt, north of Mount Druitt Town Square from 8.30pm to 9.15pm. Here they will provide refreshments, clothing and blankets to the needy. 364
days of the year (excluding Christmas Day) and they can also provide counseling as well!
This is good that there are social services in the area like this that can assist the homeless, young and needy to enhance their life just that much, to show people care! Good on you Vinnies!
