For nearly 16 months, on behalf of the community, I have advocating on numerous occasions and having discussions with Blacktown City Council Transport Officers of the required phase walkway at Luxford Road North Mount Druitt, traffic lights (right side) entry to Westfield. Without this, it is life threatening and community members are actually living 'dangerously'.
We currently had so far, Blacktown City Council Councillors support, former State Member of Mount Druitt, Mr Richard Amery support, Blacktown City Council Transport Officers support, no support from Westfield Management, Mount Druitt and we have now come to a 'road block' with NSW Maritime and Roads Services (NSW RMS).
One thing the NSW RMS doesn't know is this matter will not rest whilst I am around! The last information from a Blacktown City Council representative is NSW RMS was supposed to have made contact with myself earlier, in the beginning of the year.
I have not received a phone call, email or letter from NSW RMS, so this must have been placed in the 'too hard pile'. Too hard to contact: pick up the phone, send an email or even post a letter to myself!
So the entire community of North Mount Druitt, is waiting for myself to be contacted by NSW RMS so we can get the official phase walkway 'on the road' and remove the current 'road block' being caused.
Let's hope that we get a response from NSW RMS from now and a follow up response from Blacktown City Council to NSW RMS and why no contact made, so far. Will the NSW RMS use State Election as an excuse?
