Mount Druitt State Politics Is Up And Running - No Funding for Mount Druitt Police Station - Mount Druitt-St Marys Standard

It's funny I was going to publish a blog stating that our newly elected State Member of Mount Druitt has been in the Honeymoon period, settling down at his electoral office in Westfield Mount Druitt and also learning to be a strong opposition back-bencher.

One thing I must say about Hon. Edmond Attala, State Member of Mount Druitt, he is extremely articulate and well educated with local knowledge relating to State matters. Transitioning from the Local Council to State Government is a big step and dealing with different issues and plans for the future, is going to be an exciting road for him to take. There will be decisions he will have to make that is right for the electorate support along party lines or with the 'Government of the day'.

So we come to the issue of stating that the 'Government of the day' has no funding promised for the new Mount Druitt Police Station, in the first budget. Although this may be true, the 'NSW Baird Liberal Government' has 3 years and 8 months to have this completed. Time permitting, if not completed in this time, then the promise is broken. I suspect that it would take a year or so to construct, so time is with the current government. It is good that Mr. Atalla remembers the promises made prior to last State Election.

We all want to see a new Super Police Station in Mount Druitt, I'm sure it will happen!
