It has been more than 4 months after the severe storm, Mount Druitt received in January 2016.
Most people have gone over this incident and a majority of business are 'Back In Business'. Yet, we tend to have Parks and Reserves not been fully cleaned up, in relation to loose tree trunks left on the ground.
In RAAF Memorial Park, Mount Druitt this is the case and this needs to be attended too, so that it appears in it's natural look as it was before the storm happened.
If we have visitors to the area, then 'we need to clean our act' or this case our environment, this is so it is left in its beautiful natural state and we can enjoy it the bit of nature we have in the area.
After, speaking to a few residents in the area, they agree as well and wonder why it has taken that long to do so.
This has been , in the mean time!

Westfield Mount Druitt Must Have Listened To About Bicycle Stands/Racks Required ...And With A Great Design!
So, After a few years of advocating for bicycle stands/racks at Westfield Mount Druitt, the management need to be congratulated for placing one of these stand where I had taken a photo be fofore 2 years ago.
Sometimes, what I believe happens is being patient and this gets results as long as proper consistent advocating for improvements are lobbied and advocated in order. People are mostly impatient when requesting community improvements and that includes myself at times. Yet when the battle seems lost and all the background deals are being discussed and done, then comes the just deserved community results.
Here, can see that the Management of Westfield are listening to the community and have even spent funds to research ways of providing a stand where bicycles can be tied up, whilst shopping, also making it fit into our modern world of art.
Another small win for the community and I am wondering are they placing similar stands within Westfield Mount Druitt, car park, outside different entrances and update this on any internal maps for customers.

Mount Druitt Families In Families!
Day to day we live in families that average from about 1-2 parents to 2-4 children. Yet, when we talk about above averages, it is not beyond belief that there are families that have high amount of children.
I briefly met a gentleman from New Zealand, who doesn't want to go back to New Zealand and has had 4 children from a first marriage wife and 13 children from a second marriage wife. That is a lot of children:17 children. At times he forgets the name of some of his children, but he spoke with so much pride, that I had to make this public. He admitted that now it is enough children, his wife and he has. We sometimes don't realise that there could lots of families living in one house, probably cramped!
Myself, having 2 grown up children, I thought and think it is enough. His story reminded myself of the factual story where my mother was 1 children out of 13 children. The though of mothers bearing birth to so many children but the glory of raising them up to be adults, makes up for that!
Families are great as you are a part of them: when you are a parent and your children will live their life a bit the way you want them too and a lot the way they want to live their life. They honor and respect parents, they keep friendship close to their hearts. They find life hard and they come to celebrate they are families in families.
So Mount Druitt has families in families and will always have this!

Deadly Dreaming - My Mob - Mount Druitt Streets University
Interesting video from a local songwriter and artist producing song 'My Mob' - with Mount Druitt Street University, providing recording and producing this song.
I like to hear from our young, with the emotions they have of their life and inspiring other locals to come out and be good. This is what we need in our local community, more locally produced songs to be very inspirational.

Legal Practical Suggestions - Falzon Legal
I will be providing information from a Law Firm, which is based outside the area. I know Paul Falzon, from my Advocacy towards public transport (Only) days. I have his permission to inform the community of matters of importance. I do hope you enjoy it and should you wish to discuss with Paul Falzon, mention that you had seen this article from this website and I'm sure his legal Firm will assist you!

Welcome to the May edition of the Falzon Legal newsletter
A newsletter for clients, friends of the practice and special interest groups.
This is a free service and in this edition we have some topical articles written in a helpful, no-nonsense style with plenty of practical suggestions.
We hope you enjoy the articles.

Click here for: Understanding what a Plea in Mitigation means
Click here for: 'The perils of not making a Will'
Jo and Lynn, are current final year social work students undertaking a placement at Falzon Legal and are able to support clients in crisis and assist. Jo & Lynn are meeting with local community services in the St. George and Canterbury local government to compile a database which will be provide services targeting the elderly and frail aged, people with disabilities as well as young people, and families.
At Falzon Legal, we believe our point of difference is our client centered approach. Often clients have a problem that requires complementary non-legal services, such as Centrelink applications, counseling for domestic violence, or access to aged care in home packages, such as respite or domestic assistance.
Jo and Lynn have visited 10 several local services and have made inroads into understanding the often fragment local community services system to unlock local support for our clients when they need it most. One of the practical outcomes from the placement will be to meet local services on offer and to compile a referral directory, which will be placed on our website.
Paul Falzon, says “We offer free half hour consultations to the community organisations and their clients. If we cannot we refer them to local services and agencies who can. We try to ensure that people don’t fall through the gaps”.

ABC Compass May Help You With Who To Vote For At This Years Federal Election!
Now the Australian Federal election is around the corner, there may be swinging voters or even party line voters that may not really know by asking questions will determine which political party you may be heading for.
It is a golden opportunity to see if you really vote for the party you voted for last time or want to vote this time and to see when you sit in the current political environment.
For me the result shocked me, but whether I vote with my heart or head, I will decide by election day. I know that with some questions I would have answered against polls at times and voted with the heart, others I voted with the head! I do recommend you try ABC Compass and see where you fit in the political field!

To help you, the ABC has done a comparison of the major Parties Policies and puts on the tables all the key issues voters want to talk about Click here

A Suggestion:Security Issues At Westfield Mount Druitt When No Security Was present!
Whilst we all would like security to be near us of every moment of every day, I must compliment Westfield Mount Druitt with the regular security guards they employ, patrolling inside and sometimes outside of the shopping complex. They ensure there is proper manners from all community members and uphold the good respect that we all deserve to give of and to each other.
Unfortunately, I was entering the Mount Druitt Westfield shopping complex from Mount Druitt Town Square, yesterday, where usually there is security guards standing outside the electronic open doors. As I entered there were one man about 40 years old abusing a young man that had apparently dropped a carton of beer, with possibly his father, beside him. All I heard was, 'Are so stupid- Common let's go outside and I'll fight you!' Both the young man and his possible father didn't respond and were left standing with fear as other shoppers were shocked with the abuse provide by this man.
Obviously I didn't see what occurred before that happened, I raced on forward to see if there was security - spotted a cleaner and asked can she contact security - she said 'Yes'. She must have pressed an electronic message to the security guards, she ran with myself to the electronic doors and I could see a man on a mobile phone who was with the abusing man, pacing up and down outside in Mount Druitt Dawson Mall. Suddenly, about 4 security guards came down asked myself what happened?
I explained that I didn't see what happened that a man in orange top was a busing a young man and was causing a fight and pointed out the man to them. I couldn't see the young man, walked away and then sighted the young man holding his carton of beer, appearing to be fearful of exiting the electronic doors. I ran back to the security guards and explained where the young man was standing. They went to approach the young man and started to question him. I then left for home.
I do think that after this incident has occurred and to be fair to Westfield security guards, they cannot be everywhere at every time, a Security Emergency button could be installed (like they do at train stations). To be used by the public, if situations arise similar to this, with security guards are being present and the public would be aware of it, for their own protection!

Health And Safety Changes Required In Mount Druitt Bus Interchange - 'whyivlovemountdruitt' Face Book Book
So, here we have a genius of an idea to prevent potential accidents, death at Mount Druitt Bus Interchnage. This may seem like it will restrict commuters getting into buses -- yet commuters line up for buses anyway. This could be an idea that overhauls all NSW bus Interchanges design and would it be great that the innitial idea came from a 'whyilovemountdruitt' Face Book Page Post?
What is also great is that Lester from the Mount Druitt Commuters Improvement Group will take this on board the group, local state member and NSW Minister of Transport.
Here it is from Ron from Whalan with comments:
Ron Vorbach
This
is just a mock up of a modification I would like to see happen to our
bus inter change. The intention is to stop run away shopping carts or
baby strollers accidentally rolling in front of buses.Railing only
covering the parts that would not block access to boarding the buses .
Railing placed on existing posts. This still leaves a buffer zone
between the bus and the rails in case of any unseen event. Only requires
6 railing bars and fittings to each bus bay, thus minimizing the costs
to implement.. Safety to all 100%.
Lester Pasley This is a good idea Ron. Do you mind if I write to Edmond Atalla and let him know? He can raise it with Transport for NSW as the owner of the interchange.
Lester Pasley This is a good idea Ron. Do you mind if I write to Edmond Atalla and let him know? He can raise it with Transport for NSW as the owner of the interchange.
Ron Vorbach You
are very welcomed. Any thing that can prevent any one being hurt in any
way is top priority in my book. Just the other day we saw a runaway
trolley hit up against a bus , Lucky no one was in the way and nothing
was damaged . Had it got bounced by the bus and hit a child or some one ,
need I say more.
Ronald Bright it
would be far better if the shopping trolleys were not taken away from
the shopping precinct to start with. People who use these trolleys have
no respect for others in the community who have to weave their way
around these in public areas as well as the safety aspect where the can
interfere with both pedestrian and vehicle access
Ron Vorbach I
agree, but in the shorter term we need the above. Same logic applies of
how people elect to use garbage bins provided or not at all sadly.
Jean-Francois Svoboda Security Guards do not run after runaway trolleys but great idea to the two 'Ronnies'!
