Day to day we live in families that average from about 1-2 parents to 2-4 children. Yet, when we talk about above averages, it is not beyond belief that there are families that have high amount of children.
I briefly met a gentleman from New Zealand, who doesn't want to go back to New Zealand and has had 4 children from a first marriage wife and 13 children from a second marriage wife. That is a lot of children:17 children. At times he forgets the name of some of his children, but he spoke with so much pride, that I had to make this public. He admitted that now it is enough children, his wife and he has. We sometimes don't realise that there could lots of families living in one house, probably cramped!
Myself, having 2 grown up children, I thought and think it is enough. His story reminded myself of the factual story where my mother was 1 children out of 13 children. The though of mothers bearing birth to so many children but the glory of raising them up to be adults, makes up for that!
Families are great as you are a part of them: when you are a parent and your children will live their life a bit the way you want them too and a lot the way they want to live their life. They honor and respect parents, they keep friendship close to their hearts. They find life hard and they come to celebrate they are families in families.
So Mount Druitt has families in families and will always have this!
