Well, as matters are raised matters can get resolved and that is what has happened with the man made pedestrian track. I sure that the majority of our community think 'Nothing gets done, No one cares!"
Incorrect. Once an issue is raised with 'whyilovemountdruitt' blogspot/Face Book Group, there are Councillors emailing each other or even Council Officer starting from the General Manager. There are Council officers checking the validity of the issue, researching and reporting seeking avenues of providing and reporting back to Council and to us, on behalf of the community.
The issues is then sorted into importance of funding set for 'Work Improvement Program' otherwise known as a 'WIP'. If the issue is a non issue, there maybe no reply, unless raised again or consideration is made. It depends also on the relevance of how important is the issue(s) raised.
So we can report after having feed back from both Blacktown City Council and also Westfield Centre Management a resolution has been made to wait for funding the 'Work Improvement Program' man made pathway to be officially made with a concrete, also what was picked up was another improvement on Kelly Close pathway on the Eastern end as well, by Council Engineers.
We thank Mayor, Councillor Stephen Bali, General Manager, Kerry Robinson, Council Engineers and Westfield Centre Management as well as a community member, who made a comment on the original post on our Face Book page and finally to the communities that read pour blogspot and shared on local Face Book pages, communities in and around Mount Druitt.
This is what can help other communities within and around Mount Druitt, if there is the same issues in their area.
