A Year On From Hon. Edmond Atalla - State Member For Mount Druitt Since Being Elected!
Actually, it is just over a year that
Hon. Edmond Atalla has been elected as NSW State Member for Mount Druitt, since 27th March 2015. He has responded so quickly to this request, that I personally must applaud him.
The request was to go over the last year's time holding office, which can be a discovery and understanding year and most definitely a learning curb year. Then come back and tell the community what has happened over the last year.
Sometimes members of communities perception of politicians, you the usual statements of 'What is the Council doing for us?', 'They have been there for years and done nothing!' 'No one knows who what are State Member is doing!' or finally, ' Why didn't the State Member tell of this change?'
That is just a few things I have heard and I try to put out these fires by explaining how all politicians do work hard for the community, the research they may have to look up, correspondence received and returned. Meetings day to day with the community groups and individuals, celebrating success and expanding the area with employment opportunities, supplying community grants to the sporting community or local community. The list goes on....
You will notice that Hon. Edmond Atalla, has covered a wide range of political subjects in NSW Parliament that affects our community. Also, on behalf of the NSW Government he has attended meetings around our community very well in many events throughout the year and supports great individual achievements. That I can vouch for all those things mentioned!
