Sydney AllianceReflections on Civic Community Organising & Islamic Communities with Dr. Muhammad Bari
You are invited to join noted British civic leader, intellectual-activist and commentator Dr. Muhammad Abdul Bari MBE, in a morning of reflections on civic community organising & Islamic communities.
Dr. Bari is a founding member of The East London Communities Organisation (TELCO), a coalition of churches, mosques, and other civil society organisations working together to promote understanding and a safer, fairer and better governed city. TELCO is now a branch of Citizens UK and a sister organisation of the Sydney Alliance.
Dr. Bari was Secretary General of the Muslim Council of Britain from June 2006 until June 2010; he is also an educationalist, parenting consultant and author.
Invitation is open to Sydney Alliance leaders from all faiths and none and Muslim community and religious leaders who are interested in exploring broad-based community organising for the common good in Sydney.
