The Young People Of Mount Druitt Have Great Chances In Reaching 'Life's Goals'!

With 'whyilovemountdruitt' it is not about just the people living in the area providing improvements in our area, making it the best place to living in. It can also be about the people that visit the area and can make such a great contribution to the young that fear there is no future, when everyone does have a future!

These can be workers, experts and people come to Mount Druitt area to use many facilities.

So, Yesterday I met Ray from Doonside, originally from overseas, he has an inspirational story that he has allowed to be told. He arrived in Australia over 30 years ago, with his family: wife, son and daughter. He was qualified in working Hotel Management, with worldly experience in other countries. Yet with his high qualifications, they were not recognized by employers for Hotel Management here in Australia.

In this modern day of age, the  young people would now call it, 'Depression'. This did not let him down, with his persistence, he found a job as a waiter. He had to feed his family and this was his main primary goal, after hearing Australia is a lucky country to live in. He was not going through depression, he had the stamina to search for that golden opportunity to get that first job, start from the bottom and move up in life after that. His children have grown up and well educated: daughter is a school Principal in her thirties and his son is high up in Management position  with a financial company.

Ray is back into managing positions, managing a chain of  bottle stores! Hard work will always get you places he says and he would not change his life as he is so proud, of where his stance is of where in his life.

He claims he doesn't understand how some of the young people want to give up in 'searching for work' - or why in Mount Druitt - Blacktown area there used to be a stigma if the parent doesn't work , the child doesn't need to work and live off government benefits: which all tax payers, pay for. We both agree this doesn't do justice to the child, community and even  all tax payers.

Each young person should never give up on looking for work or even studying courses as the opportunity will come, when it is least expected - this my saying. The trend is changing from many years ago for the children of Mount Druitt. We have great public schools and private schools that are willing to assist each child to reach their goals of careers.
