Westfield Hoyts Mount Druitt Ledge - Dirty!

Back in January this year I spotted  the ledge near Westfield Hoyts Mount Druitt, quite visually not being left as being cleaned. How often is this maintained? We don't know, it could be an annual event. This could be potentially a reason  that can sickness to people within the community, with them knowing it!

On 13th February 2014, I referred this photo to the General Manager of  Blacktown City Council via e-mail and advised that, 'I noticed a lot of dust on the ledge above the stairs - this could a health and safety issue  for the community (as per photo below).

It appears there may not be regular checks  to ensure this dust and dirt is not cleaned regularly. I was wondering if  you could investigate it and respond to my e-mail.and today I received a wonderful e-mail from the Blacktown City.'

Today, a wonderful e-mail arrived today from  a Blacktown City Council Senior Environmental Health Officer and this was the response, 'I carried out an inspection of Hoyts yesterday and confirmed your concerns.

I addressed the issue with Hoyts who advised that as the ledge is the responsibility of Westfield. They said they would bring it to the attention of Centre Management to make sure it is addressed.'

So the magic of  the internet world gets an  a public health and safety issue fixed!

SO this is where i will say to anyone within Mount Druitt, we can improve our Mount Druitt area, no matter how small it is and  raise to a place where it is so respectable and these issues are not let down by the relevant authorities. Let us know if you would  improvement to done in the community, send your photos to the website e-mail address.
