Enforcement Tools For Wastewater - Blacktown City Council

I have asked the question to the Senior Environmental Officer from Blacktown Council can Council do if wastewater occurs in businesses ( as per previous blog):

"Council has a variety of enforcement tools available, from verbal warnings, written warnings, Notices and Orders, Penalty Notices and prosecutions.

At this stage a penalty notice would not be issued.

If further reports are received that wastewater is being discharged from the premises, the matter will be investigated and the appropriate enforcement action selected."

This is because of an incident that ocurred at the Mount Druitt Asian Butcher and Seafood Shop at Westfield Mount Druitt.
