Update On Plumpton Park Wetlands And Flora Reserve!

Just talking to a few Mount Druitt community members, since posting the original story yesterday (Click here for original story), it appears a lot of people are aware of this park and beauty, hidden within the surrounding suburb of Plumpton. Further down the road is Plumpton shops, everyone is aware of.

Did you know: The Plumpton Park Wetlands, has an important natural link in  Western Sydney and the  Greater Sydney, as it connects eventually to the Hawkesbury River: flowing  onto Bells  Creek, joining Eastern Creek at Riverstone, then connecting to the South/ Wiananmatta Creek - close to South Windsor at finally at Windsor joining the Famous Hawkesbury River.

It has been brought to my attention that there may be a issues presenting  to the community whilst using the facilities within Plumpton Park, brought to my attention.

  • The bar-be-ques  in the  picnic and sheltered areas off Hyatts Road, sometime don't work.
  •  The  toilet amenities is apparently a long distance walk of approximately 500 meters  walk from the  picnic and rest areas.
We will check with  Blacktown how often the bar-be-ques get check for maintenance and how far the  toilet amenities is  as that could be a long walk for community members to use the facilities.
