To Give You An Idea Of Growth Within Mount Druitt!

We have had a response from Blacktown City Council A/Governance Officer, Blacktown City Council, regarding new housing  approved since the beginning of the year:

Dear Mr Svoboda

Further to your email below, please be advised that there were 9 approvals granted for the period 1 January to 10 March 2014.

Trusting you will find the details helpful.

Council Ref:  GIPA 14/340

So this means on average within Mount Druitt, there is at least 1 approval per week for new housing thus - this  means more land is being used, approximately  52 house per year, if a family of  4 per household - extra 408 living in the area per year, after twenty years growth of population 8,160 (without natural population growth).

So this is where we have to  look at the future and look at immediate improvements for the community straight away - other with will not be able to cope with further community infrastructure.

Council has a great important role to play, to ensure that Local, State and Federal Government properties are well maintained and serviced to meet community needs. Furthermore that any issues that is raised regarding Major Shopping Centers, issues of concern are raised to the relevant owners, so they they comply with community needs and not leave the community left behind.
