Lyn Thorley Marilyn Wilson the koon wah Chinese was the best. Had many meals from there.
Marilyn Wilson Oh yeah it was my fav for many years, Although not still working in Mt Druitt I still went to Koon Wah every week will around 1980
Marilyn Wilson I remember the little Milk Bar there too, early 1970's was feeling so grown up as an apprentice Hairdresser, all my work colleges smoked so I bought a pack too, wasnt game to light up infront of the other girls so had my first ever cig on the train back to Blacktown. So many years and cigs ago and the memory is still there
John Svoboda It is amazing how this area of Mount Druitt hasn't had a facelift or upgrade compared to others areas in Mount Druitt getting upgraded and changing to medium density buildings
Ron Vorbach Relocating the station to support the new shopping mall ( prior to the mall being owned by Westfield) and the Carlisle avenue rail bridge, all but killed off old Mount Druitt. I guess some where in it`s future it maybe possible to expect it being bulldozed to make way for new residential units and more car parks.
