Summary Results, Ward 5, Blacktown City Council General Elections 2016

The Labor party has polled  with 15,715 votes, 59.68% with a commanding majority in Ward 4, Blacktown City Council with Liberals way behind with  5,160 on 19.6% of the total, Australia First Party 2,264 with 8.6% of the total votes, the Greens 2,081 votes, 7.98% of the votes and the remaining independents with 777 of the votes and 2.95% of the total votes.

Compared to 2012 election Labor went up only by 0.98%, Liberals went down by a dismal 1,877 votes being 5.6%, Australia First Party increased by 1,333 votes 5.2% The Greens increased by 213 votes 1.2% - and  all Independents went  down by 524 votes, 1.68%.

Shockingly  informal has almost doubled  from 8.6%  2012 to a high 16.02% (5,022). This is probably where Independents that ran at this election should focus on to gain the  extra votes to elect one in Council next time.

 So Elected will be Tony Bleasedale (Labor),  Brad Bunting (Labor) and a highly likely chance that Peter Camilleri (Liberal) will be elected as well, pending the results of preferences.

The quota to be elected as a Councilor is 6,774.
