Young Man From Mount Druitt - Career Direction In Mind For Future Job!

Yesterday I met a young energetic young aboriginal man, whom I found is inspirational. Deon from Mount Druitt is doing studying as an apprentice chef and made myself realise that the young have got that strong will to go out and study if you can't find a job! What a simple way of thinking for the positive future.

I find talking to anyone is great as long as there is a positive reaction from them and they are comfortable to respond to in conversation.

What is so great is the way he spoke,'I don't want to be like others drink, waste time ... I want to do something, get a job, study hard work hard and then enjoy life!'

I told  him that by being like this, others could look up to him within family or community, want to strive and have a good life like himself. He had pride in stating that he had completed his Higher School Certificate!

This reflects a change of attitude from the younger generation, which has been happening for a quite few years, where there is just positive thoughts of career, family and life as major goals to aim for. This is the kind of younger generation of Mount Druitt people is needed to be living a community where each person can assist in getting community improvements in all levels of reaching goals.

Deon, we hope you keep us informed of  how your progress is with your studies and your positive career direction!
