Further good news on a broken pit - to be fixed! Although these are small wins for the area, each win we get makes Mount Druitt a greater Place to live in. It is What I love about Mount Druitt. More and more people are reading our blogs, especially from within the community. I cannot wait for the community to e-mail us details for Council to attend too fix up.
This doesn't place local Councillors aside. They can contribute by ensuring appropriate action is taken to make Mount Druitt an improved place, where it brings such great community pride.
Here is the response from Blacktown City Council, engineer:
Hello Mr Svoboda,
Blacktown Council has provided representation on your behalf advised Telstra of the broken pit and requested this be rectified.
Regarding the failed retaining wall you mentioned, you have stated this was in Kaylyn Place, Mount Druitt. I have had one of our council inspectors investigate this matter and he has informed me he was unable to locate this retaining wall in Kaylyn Place, Mount Druitt.
Are you able to provide further information in regards to the location of this retaining wall?
Kind Regards
Engineer
Civil and Open Space
(Name Ommitted)
NB: It may well be the occupant of the fallen wall has removed the wall and maybe replaced it. I will refer back to the Council engineer and provide the community further advice.
