It is pleasing that Blacktown City Council has accept my submission to it's Draft Operational Plan for 2017-2018.
There were 3 main areas that I focussed on: The main important issues of why all 3 tiers of governments have declared draft budgets at different times of the year, not matching levels. Whilst Council agrees that this is not logical - they are doing their job based on the Local Government Act of 1993 and following the current proper process. This is where all stake holders in all tiers of government should get together and change their appropriate Acts to have Budgets released from Federal, State and then to Local.
I warmly confirmed the focus that the Blacktown City Council is taking for improvements within it budget and I provided them with an idea to increase councillors to another 3 and Ward to another one to offset increases to local government area population and future populations. So again here, the NSW Government will need to change the Local Government Act of 1993 to raise the maximum number of Councillors to 21. I would like to request our NSW State Representative, Mr Edmond Atalla, Member for Mount Druitt, to consult Council and his fellow colleagues in NSW Parliament and legislate for this - helping the future growth of Blacktown City.

Response On Non- Airconfditioned Buses And Trains In Mount Druitt - NSW Shadow Minister For Transport
We have now received a wonderful acceptance to place the NSW Government will be held accountable for promises as The NSW Shadow Minister of Transport, Hon. Jodi McKay will be keep the "suggestions and experiences in mind" as Labor develops their approach to Transport and Roads for the next Labor Government.
We also thank the Hon. Jodi McKay, for taking interest and also raising this issue with our local NSW State Member for Mount Druitt, Hon. Edmond Atalla. She also compliments Mr Atalla for the work he is achieving being our local State Member.The comfort for both bus drivers and commuters are exemtrely important improvements for the people of Mount Druitt, in using public transport.

NSW Premier, Michael Baird Resigns Today - Manly Daily
Well isn't this a shock to our political system! The announcement of Premier Michael Baird resigning from politics, when in my eyes he is doing it at a young age, sends shivers down my spine.
He has been a Premier for 3 years, which is a reasonable amount of time (in today's world), yet I would like to see a bit more stability within our NSW Leaders, especially when you are nearly halfway past your 4 years term of office as a member of Parliament and as a a Party Leader. Where is the loyalty gone today, to be a long term Leader?
We know the current government has implemented good things and has also implemented wrong things like get rid of the free fares on the Opal cards after 8 trips, against public perception.
To be a good leader, you have to have the passion, the understanding of your community and not just be pleasing the press all the time. Donald Trump is a great example the American press went against him and passing all odds - Donald Trump came up with 'The Trump Card' and won. Everyone didn't take him as a serious candidate and now they have too.
I can now vision the downfall of the current NSW Government at the hands of the next State election unless someone like Gladys Berejiklian takes the helm. Maybe then they could retain NSW Government but I can't see any other strong Government Ministers to back her and stay long term as Ministers - unless Ray Williams is her Deputy.
Still, I now think we have a stronger Opposition Party, inclusive of our strong local member for Mount Druitt, Edmond Atalla, can be a force to be with, if they win the next NSW State Election. Although he is in his first term of office, I think he is not only working hard for the community but working so hard for our NSW State.
I know NSW can still move ahead in positive directions, but to fix one of the primary issue being roads issue: instead of multiplying lanes and widening roads, a well maintained public transport infrastructure is required , with efficient and reliable bus and trains services, with reduced fares on taxis to pick up the gap services. This will reduce load of traffic on roads and keep cars/private vehicles at home.
So who will be the next Premier of NSW? I was going to say who cares - but I do care as that will tell us how the State will be lead and run by in the next 2 years, at least.

NSW State Government Budget 2016-2017 - NSW Myinfrastructure Planning!
With the NSW Budget surplus announced by NSW Treasurer Gladys Berejiklian of $3.7 Billlion, I have worked out what is being spent on project within Blacktown LGA and I have only found 3 areas in Mount Druitt: Mount Druitt Hospital Stage 1 & 2, Mount Druitt Police Station and Mount Druitt new Fire & Rescue Station.

How 'Local" Members Of Parliament means "Referred To Only One Local Members Of Parliament"!
This is where I fail to understand at this stage NSW Parliament, when there are issues raised that concerns outside your area, you are finger pointed to go to your local NSW State Representative. This is even though you already have done so unless you are writing to a representative of Government who is a Minister, for that relevant inquiry.
I remember when I was a constituent of Londonderry NSW State Seat and approached the NSW Member for Mount Druitt's Office
(at that time) and was quite bluntly told, even though it is about Mount Druitt, you are not a constituent of Mount Druitt , you will have to see your local NSW State Member of Londonderry, based in Werrington. I was at Mount Druitt State Members office at that time and the lady electoral lady did not want to look at my inquiry. or even at me. There was no once of assistance given. I felt I was discriminated against by living in a suburb outside Mount Druitt, yet the suburb was part of Mount Druitt.*
Now I live in Mount Druitt for the past 2 1/2 years and it feels I have the official capacity to deal with the Member of Mount Druitt
* I was advised by a Staunch member of the Labor Party Member within Mount Druitt, that suburbs west of Mount Druitt were moved into Londonderry to make it a more stronger Labor seat. I Actually think boundary changes are based on population changes!
The word local means within your area, it can also mean as far as local goes. I think all local State Parliamentary politicians - should be able to respond to an individual's issues (which reflects community interests) within local's area.
Information Sheet for Back benchers is the best I could locate for what role does local and neighbouring NSW politicians can do and the word "Local" here is rather loose!

There is another neighbouring NSW State member that always is polite, respectful and I receive at times feed back or comment. How does this make sense?

NSW Government News - More Jobs For Western Sydney - NDIS Scheme Is Rolled Out Across!
NSW Government claims 3,300 new jobs within Western Sydney once the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is rolled out.
This is from here on that our local State Members for Mount Druitt, Hon. Edmond Atalla and Londonderry, Hon. Prue Car should chase this up and see how the many of the 3,300 new jobs will be allocated to their electorates and especially within Mount Druitt.

A Year On For NSW Member For Mount Druitt 27/3/2016 - Hon. Edmond Atalla - Reflection!
It is almost a year on out of 4 years that we have a newly elected NSW Member for Mount Druitt, Mr. Edmond Atalla. As a true family man and his full time job as a State Member of NSW Parliament, we will be asking Mr Atalla his reflection as a growing Labor Party opposition team, his successes and his position in maintaining his 'whyilovemountdruitt'.Personally, I think if he he was given a report card from the Mount Druitt community, he would have passed all tests and head for A+ results. No one cam be critical to any politician, who has entered his/her first year of NSW State political life.
He is starting to take on issues within the NSW State Parliament and also from issues raised in this blogpost, which is highly commendable for him to do so.
He has the next three years, to be as vocal, passionate and progressive in chasing up all major community infrastructure improvements, promised by the current NSW Government. Also take a stand on NSW IPART's public transport fare hikes that may be making a decision on which could raise fares substantially. Finally, ensure that more roads are well maintained (fully) especially the major arterial road, Luxford Road. Parts of it has been upgraded, near the Mount Druitt business hub, yet there are parts that make you feel you are entering a country town that leaves you driving on road surfaces, wearing out.

'Breaking The Ice Community Forums' Mount Druitt Needs One?
We live in a time where illegal drugs such as 'ice' has been supplied to drug affected community members within New South Wales, whilst the NSW Police is doing it's best to cut the supply of it.
The results of this drug on communities may be not only death to the drug taker but to the people they live within their lives. So to combat this drug, we need a community forum that reaches out to our Mount Druitt communities, so that we are all educated on this drug, it's affects and side affects. What can be done as a community, with the NSW Government Agencies support and what is there to protect us as a community affected?
I would like to see our strong community advocate for our area (stronger than myself). Hon. Edmond Atalla, NSW State Member of Mount Druitt to take this baton up to and for the community and let's have our say on 'Breaking the Ice!'

So Further Reports How Mount Druitt Area- Bus Region 1 - Is Behind Compared To Sydney City Bus Regions!
Where we are told by Busways that currently that are complying to 55% of accessible buses, we in NSW Bus Region 1 are behind the times compared to Bus Region 6,7,8 and 9 - All Sydney City Bus Regions.
Their !ratio according to Sydney Bus Information
Home Page - Quarterly Performance Information they are up to 86.9% of accessible buses for NSW Bus Regions 6,7,8 and 9.
Yet, according to Feed back from Busways they are up to 55% compliant for accessible buses in NSW Bus Region 1.
That is we are 31.9% behind the times - all NSW Bus regions , should be compliant at the same rate as others, not make others more compliant then others less fortunate! I do think someone needs to get answers for us and raise the ratio of accessible buses to an equal percentage.

Mount Druitt Community Members Remembers Mount Druitt Free Shuttle Bus Petition - I Was Handing Out Years Ago!
A young Randell, a graphic design producer, from Mount Druitt wanted to stand up on the Sydney Train from Mount Druitt, until he reaches the city, when I had 2 seats available for him to sit. So, I ask him to do so and he did. He thinks that working hard makes you want to stand up on train journeys, as it is a privilege working.
He also remembers myself lobbying for a Mount Druitt Free Bus Shuttle a few years ago and I gave him the update on it. That is; we got it approved by Blacktown City Council and under the new bus time tables review, we have a bus service that is driving past the Mount Druitt hospital for the first time - bus 723!
It is good my face is out there in a 'good way' getting the right positive message out to the community.

Words Travel To Get New Possible Job For Mount Druitt New Community Member!
It is an amazing place we live in, when we just talk to two people and there is inspiration from a third person to join in and offer possible work to one of the other two people, talking!
Well, I suppose the last paragraph of this blog, which is the first paragraph of this blog has summed it all up as to what had happened today.
Here it goes: you know myself handing out information slips on 'whyilovemountdruitt' blogspot, talking to strangers, creating conversation and engaging enthusiastic discussion on all types of local topics. Well, when I met Abdul from Mount Druitt, recently migrated from Pakistan to Australia, he was just explaining at Mount Druitt train station that he was traveling to work, is a professional level 3 Web Developer using 'Wordpress' and I explained how I use 'Blogspot'.
Well this young gentleman standing near myself, suddenly turned around, faced Abdul and asked, 'Did I here you say, you are a Web Developer and use 'Wordpress'? To which Abdul responded in a way that he confirmed he has a Level 3 qualification and admitted that he is not fully qualified. The gentleman offered his business card as he said to him 'Your face looks like a Wed Developer!' and he advised they are looking for people like him. We all got on the train and headed East
I said to the gentleman, 'I'm glad I didn't speak quietly', as he wouldn't have overheard our conversation then.
On the left is his business card. This is amazing! Maybe by striking a conversation with a stranger he gets work from another stranger. Has this happened to you?
