780 Bus To Tregear Should Be Re-routed - Mount Druitt Commuters Improvement Group Inc.- Daily Telegraph

We have reported how important it is to provide essential services, as well as bus services to support commuters within our community. This issue has been dragging since 2009 and yet a band aid solution was provided called the 'Shopper Hopper 674', which is less frequently serviced by buses, when is was properly serviced before November 2009.

Our people need to be heard and the bureaucrats, need to live in this area and understand the realty of why proper bus services are required in the west part of Whalan. Here is their story from the Daily Telegraph:

Will Busways 780 Tregear 'Only' Bus Fix The Shortfall Of 674 Bus Services Required For Whalan Commuters?

This has been an on going issue for years. Ever since I was President and Secretary of the Mount Druitt Commuters Improvement Group Inc. The simple solution is for the 780 bus to travel into the Gasmatta/Samaria Streets of Whalan using the 'Tregaear Only' bus.

When we lost 3 bus services in 2009 and received 2 buses services back out of 3 lost bus services from the NSW Government, that was a big win for  our community. The 674 bus service was introduced as a 'Shopper Hopper' bus service: Few and far between services  have been permitted by the NSW Government for Busways to supply to supply these limited bus services since that time.

Whenever I have travelled on this bus services , it definitely shows that it is a more than required bus service.

Here is a video from Christina on  how she struggles to  seek more bus services to make commuters life easy, in her part of our Whalan community. I do suggest that you view this video and supply your comments on whether these members of our community should be properly services with buses. The video has been produced by the  Mount Druitt Commuters Improvement Group Inc and have been provide permission to publish it.

We have investigated the matter and have found the driver indeed made a mistake on his route.

We thank you for your feedback and will now put actions in place to try ensure this does not happen again.

I apologise for any delays in your travels due to this and once again thank you for bringing this to our attention.

My response was:
Hi Melissa,
Thank you for the quick feedback. I didn't lodge a complaint I lodged a feedback and the lady acknowledged it was It was just a complaint. I only wanted feedback as to why this happened? Can you ensure all records in relation to this inquiry is changed from complaint to request feedback?
Can you tell myself, that with all new technologies when a bus is show the route number 755 - is that route number on NSW Transport/Busways computers as tagged as 755 on their screen and a representative from NSW Transport/Busways monitors this and is double checking that correct buses are going on correct routes. If not, may I suggest this happens from now, please to prevent further and future commuter confusion and being upset.

What other preventative measures will  you put in place to prevent this from happening again?

Busways Change Of Route Number Made A Few Commuters 'Unhappy" At Mount Druitt!

On Sundays, I have to walk to Mount Druitt  bus interchange and  then I only can catch the 8.42am* Busways 755, to make it close to "Holy Family Catholic Church", Emerton.

Sometimes I'm late and miss the bus, very rarely has the bus not turned up. Yesterday, there were 2 commuters waiting with myself on bus stand 5 and approximately 8.42am, a Busways bus numbered 758, turned up for 'Shalvey'. Ignored it and let it go. Then another Busways 758 turned up about 3 minutes later and when the three of us approached this bus driver and asked about the other bus three minutes before. He knew nothing about it, couldn't help us but suggested the previous driver, could have  placed the wrong bus route number on the bus.

I was boiling up inside of myself but kept calm as I walked to catch the Busways 780 bus, which made myself run to church late. The other two 755 commuters also took the 780 bus as well. Not to mention that I was on roster to reading at mass that day, but wasn't able to. I immediately ran 131500 not to raise a complaint but to ask for feedback.

Here is my report number from Busways, not NSW Transport via email:

Good Afternoon, Thank you for providing us with your feedback.
Busways will follow up on the information you have provided and we will be in contact with you in the coming days.
Please note Occurrence Report Number (82498) for your records.
Kind Regards
Busways Group

*8.42am - this is the earliest that I can get the 755 Busways bus as there is no earlier scheduled bus routes to get in the morning. Something that I have lobbied on for the last 6 years, so far falling on deaf ears!
