Suggested Sound Improvements For Blacktown City Brass Band At Westfield Mount Druitt

One of the things that I haven't mentioned in previous posts, is about some issues with recored music within the Mount Druitt Hub as opposed to buskers or even the Blacktown City Brass Band.

We must firstly give our 'Kindest Thanks' to the Management of Westfield Mount for providing their valued space and support for the Blacktown City Brass Band to play their wonderful music, whetger as a quartet or as a full band.

Without the generous support fron Westfield, Mount Druitt, I personally would not have been able to record and publish the 60 pieces of music that can be listened to on You Tube. They have  so far received over 10,000 Likes on all these music pieces.

What does make it a tiny bit difficult for the Blacktown City Brass Band is whilst as a full band they are playing theur music to tge shoppers, which provides entertainment and happiness, there is recorded. music being played. This is providing a little disturbanceprior to tge band playing music and at the end of vCard thei piece as well.

As they play on Saturdays as full band on the Woolworths side of Westfield, I understand the  music playing on external  speakers of Westfield can not be turned off, This is because it would turn off all around Westfield Mount Druitt's external speakers: every it is played and may also affect their alarm system as well.

Click here for previous posts with links to their music videos, you will here the background music in the beginning and end of some songs. Now I know that Westfield Management are passionate about shoppers and want to  retain shoppers and are always  providing the  right entertainment  to our community. Entertainment that would promote people to come to Mount Druitt to shop. So, I have some ideas that may assist them in the future. Especially when the Blacktown City Band attracts customers to the shopping centre.

There are 3 suggestions that I recommend to the Westfield Management to assist them and the Blacktown City Brass Band, whilst they are playing there on the 1 Saturday per month, working together to  keep our shopping community happy:
  1. The first one is to  organise  a switch only to cut off the recorded music on the Woolworths side of Westfield Mount, which doesn't affect and security alarms and allows for the music to be  provide to any other external speakers.
  2. Or provide a microphone that allows the Blacktown City Brass Band music to be played throughout Westfield Mount Druitt (which includes external speakers) as quite background music, only for the 2 hours, they play at Westfield Mount Druitt.
  3.  Allow the Band to play on the Centre Stage at Westfield Mount Druitt and then have the music play throughout the shopping centre as quite background music.
Obviously each suggestion has it's positives outweighing negatives and one of the suggestions may be better than the other. I understand and will respect any future decisions made by the Westfield Management, Mount Druitt on this issue, in the mean time.
