Mount Druitt Buses Easter Public Holidays - Lack Of Adequate Services

For many years commuters of Mount Druitt suffer on Sundays and Public Holidays, on lack of adequate time tabled bus service within Mount Druitt and NSW Bus Region 1.

This is part of, what has kept myself being involved as an advocate originally, for public transport for 7 1/2 years and over the last 3 years as a advocate for community improvements.

We even know in parts of Bidwill, they get no bus services on Easter Holiday - 4 days in a row, due to each day from Friday to Monday Easter weekend being a public holiday.  When bus services are discussed for NSW Bus Region 1, the public is not invited, yet they say it is based on community feed back, demand for services and future growth of our area. Yet the community is not open to provide input to the NSW Bus Region Tending of bus services and the supplying of routes and bus services.

I always remember what from NSW Transport Representatives says, 'If we provide a new bus service to an area requiring a bus service, then we have to take it away from another bus area service, within the region.'

This is where I shake my head over this and say, based on growth of the area you do not increase one service and reduce another are just to maintain services, that is just a cover up. You provide the new  bus service and leave it as and that covers growth and vital community essential services required. More adequate bus services are required on Sunday and Public Holidays, especially within Mount Druitt and surrounding suburbs communities.
