Hospitals Are Smoke-Free Zone - Walking Up Stairs In Hospital Promoted

It is amazing to see  that although hospital are 'No Smoke Zone' or 'Smoke Free Zones', people ignore and 'puff' their way into history. NSW Health authorities need to police this law as it is not good to have a law that is not complied too by the community.

The laws are there for a reason and they need to be adhered too. Displaying plenty of signs is great but we still see people ignore the signs and creating a bad health environment for others within the hospital. Here is one of the signs displayed at Blacktown Hospital in the main entrance to Hospital:


I have seen signs which tell you how much you can be fined for if caught smoking around the hospital - approximately $550.00. That would be an expensive cigarette to blow away, if caught.

Instead of smoking (if you are a visitor) take the stairs up and down and that will be good exercise for you. Check this sign out:
