Whilst I recently spoke to a bus driver from Busways and was told that about 60 percent of elderly commuters are still using the paper 'pensioner excursion tickets' as opposed to using the electronic Ticketing 'Senior/Pensioner Gold card', for public transport travel.
So, as the closing date of 'no more' of these paper tickets gets closer, the NSW Government is sending messages on the train station indicator on platforms. Hopefully, the message will get across to the people that time may be running out soon. If you know someone that uses public transport and they haven't got the Senior/Pensioner Gold Card'. let them know spread the word out!
