Can We Watch Live Council Meetings In Blacktown - Not Now - But We Should!

I have attended about half a dozen meetings of Blacktown City Council and we have audio connections to each Councillors and  Council Officers  desk. You can see on the  TV Monitor who is speaking  with the name against it.

Well, with a well establish population of over 300,000 residents, I personally think in today's technological age,  Blacktown City Council could  provide  and promote 'View A Live Council Meeting' and maybe any of its Committee Meetings  same as what the City of Botany Bay does Click here for Information on City of Botany Bay's View a Live Council Meeting.

I think we need to see how  some of our Councillor's perform. I have been there and some of the opposition Councillor's just drag the meeting on and seem to want the Council meetings to never end. Not only that they repeat the same point over and over again, as if they were running for the Prime Ministers of Australia.

This will be the way to the future with Local  Government Areas - people want to connect with Council without going there and know what is having - it brings the Council to the  people!

We will request Council to do this and see how quick they can introduce this to  the community! This will also assist community members in Mount Druitt, to see what issues are being properly address and  improved in the area.

Hi John,

Council consider televising its meetings at its meeting on 20 November 2013.

The motion was lost.
