Best Regards

Press Release: No Incinerator for Western Sydney & Comments from 'whyilovemountdruitt' Face Book Page

Cleanaway is planning a WtE (Waste to Energy) Incinerator to be built in Eastern Creek.
Apparently, one dangerous incinerator per suburb is not enough...
The new proposal from Cleanaway is no different to the Next Generation WtE development application which was rejected last year by IPC, after the NSW Planning, NSW EPA, the NSW Health, local councils and the residents voiced their concerns against their proposal.
WTE technology is the dirtiest type of energy production in the world and for every 4 tonnes of rubbish burnt, one tonne of extremely toxic and dangerous fly ash must be buried and left for our future generations to deal with. Not to mention the added air pollution and carcinogens being pumped into our environment daily. The toxins from this technology have been found in our food, lungs, breast milk, placenta, it permeates our food chain and bodies. Incineration of any type is dangerous and not the way forward for our future and doesn’t belong in any country’s waste policy.
WTE technology is only popular because of the Clean Energy financial incentives being offered by the Federal Govt for a non-clean nor green industry and they need to be removed now.
Once again, Western Sydney is the dumping ground and although they say it is only for 500,000 tonnes, which is no less dangerous, this is just the beginning and the strategy they use to get their foot in the door and the proposal approved. Once approved, those limits are increased with frightening regularity.

#EXCLUSIVE: $500 million incinerator planned for western Sydney.
Sydney’s landfill crisis is set to be tackled with an ambitious proposal to convert household waste into enough energy to power 65,000 homes in the city’s western suburbs.

Ron Vorbach Using the guise of
power to get around all opposition
really shows how easy it is to
hoodwink people here and people
are silly enough to accept it. What
toxics will be emitted infecting the
health of all in it`s path let alone the
stench. 65000 homes of possible
very sick people that wont even get
sorry from the government.

  • We are being had Ron.
  • We sure are. a well known fact with the Sydney basin. Sea air pushes everything in it`s path to the mountains and in most cases unable to push what ever over the mountains and thus all builds up giving us our own climate. Thus every thing gets caught and builds up in outer Sydney including pollutants . A wise government would freight these waist items to less populated rural locations and use the energy it creates to power large aircons which would generate water. Thus one area of drought issues resolved .

It was labelled a health risk and not in the public interest. But the world's biggest incinerator could be back on the table for Western Sydney…

This post is from one of our strong community advocates within our area. It is pleasing to see that Kerri Bradbury, who is not standing back , letting this issue go. She is doing a tremendous job. Keep it up Kerri.....

Another Win For Our Mount Druitt And Surrounding Community - No Incinerator In Our Back Yard -

I know what it is like to advocate for the community with strong voices and somes  you have your ups and downs - will you get the support from within our  local community? The support came from within  our community. The one voice that deserves the rewards of being a tirelessly volunteer advocate goes to Kerri Bradbury. She will take on swimming pool clossures to have them remain open for the public.  She will take on  Corporate Companies that want to dirty our back yard with smoke and soot. On both occassions she has won for and on behalf of our community. We will have a cleaner and easier lifestyle as we breath in with every breath and realise that ' the clean air' group otherwise known as the 'No to the incinerator' group has won over big corporate companies and  NSW Government. I take off my hat (or in my case cap) to Kerri as she kept our community updated with protest meetings, nsw government reports and decisions. We also thank Blacktown City Council and Mayor Stepher Bali, councillors and Hon State Member for Mount Druitt Edmond Atalla for opposing this incinerator.

If you haven’t already heard, the Incinerator proposed for Eastern Creek has been refused by the Independent Planning Commission. This is such good news.
There will be a community photo taken outside Dial a Dump this morning at 11.30am sharp. This will be in the Blacktown Advocate this week.

Incinerator Final Knockout -

We Need Your Help!

When: 11am Monday, 14th May 2018
Where: Rooty Hill RSL, 55 Sherbrooke St, Rooty Hill, 2766

The Liberal state government insists that the Incinerator project in Western Sydney, go through the proper processes to be cancelled.
That means everyone available (take a day off work if you can) needs to register to make a written or public comment about why this Incinerator must be Cancelled NOW.

This is a public meeting that is costly and a waste of our time. The NSW Planning Department has already rejected the Incinerator, but we still need the Independent Planning Commission (IPC) to make the final NO decision.

We can’t leave anything to chance.

Everyone needs to come, don't forget to register to speak or make a public comment below by the 8th May 2018

Important Incincerator Update - Face Book

IMPORTANT INCINERATOR UPDATE:
Message to our community at the community meeting April 2017:
"Bremmer: Japan has hundreds of Incinerators. But they are also contributing 40% of the global Dioxin emissions and they have the highest levels of Dioxin in the bodies of their citizens. As the host community, you are going to be living in the incinerator sacrifice zone.”
The state government wants to follow processes and has referred the INCINERATOR proposal to the Independent Planning Commission, despite the Planning Department rejecting it. It will be up to 3 independent people to decide.
A waste of money for sure!
You can help send a strong message by:
1. Coming to the special public meeting on 14 May @ 11am at Rooty Hill RSL (no need to register) We need lots of people!
2. Register to speak at the above meeting (see link to register in comments below) This helps, even if it’s a sentence or two.
3. Or if you can’t make it or are afraid to speak, you can write to the Independent Planning Commission with your objections and concerns about it.
Link to register to speak or details to write will be posted in comments below.⬇️⬇️⬇️
