Australia Day - Blacktown City Council Fireworks VIdeo At Rooty Hill 2018

Well what can I say, I turned upearly yesterday, to (literally and  really) get the top seat on the hill, in preparation to watching the entertainment and fireworks on Australia Day at Rooty Hill organised by Blacktown City Council in 2018.

I was so pleased how everything was organised: from patrolling police to security checking bags, to water statins and Council staff offering to  replemish water bottles. The there were the green plastic bags for  the community to place rubbish in the rubbish bins as they leavethe premises at night. There were also placed rubbish bins in strategic areas and I noticed people actuall using their bins to fill up their rubbish.

The there small amusements for smaller children organised on the far right of stage and the amusement for older children  and adults on the left of stage.

People were well behaved as at least 25,000 to 30,000 people attended the event. people came with folded chairs tio sit propperly, rather then place mats/ blankets on the ground and there there the people that brough thier tents and were hoping innthe begining and were not blowing away. Although,I did notice one that could not be pegged on the ground was about to blow away and next thing I noticed it was packed away.

Now for the entertainment there was Jay Sweeney Band, The Kami's, Christie Lamb, Peusudo Echo and Diesel - to top it up.  How does Blacktown City Council get there's artists to this event is amazing. They are proably preparing for next years Australia Day straight away.

Each band/singer always uplifts crowds as they play theor songs and especially as Peusudo Echo played some 'Golden Oldies' I loved 'The Kami's' they were  great bang the Jay Sweeney Band  was a great introduction band for the day and Christie Lamb sanf up;lifting modern country songs, Diesel kept on going with his  song as he uplifted the spirits of the crowd until count down for the fireworks.

As the sun set the weather seemed to have turned to dark clouds, yet the wet weather held down and allowed the  fireworks to proceed.

On behalf of the community of Mount Druitt and surrounding suburbs, I would like to offer a huge 'Congratulations' to the Mayor Councillor Stephen Bali (NSW Member for Blacktown), all Councillors and Council Officers, for  preparation for the event and ensuring all people from within Blacktown Local Government Area have thoroughly enjoyed witnessing a wonderful fireworks display for Australia Day.

The following pictures are from the time I arrived yesterday at Rooty Hill until the commencement of the fireworks. You will notice how  Tents have bring brough in and foldable chairs, providing a better way to watch the entertainment on stage, on the large screen and prior to commencement of the Fireworks display.
