Best Results Of Fireworks Time for Blacktown City Council Since 2013 for Australia Day Event

The heading really covers what I wanted to say. Alright I provide my supporting statements to all of you.

Since 2013, I decided to video record the Blacktown City Council Australia Day firework events (I haven't researched if anyone else has done the same). So, for 7 years I have been recording, uploading on You-Tube. Then uploading on 'whyilovemountdruitt' blogspot and Face Book Page, since they were established.

On my personal records of timing the Fireworks display: from start to finish, the highest recorded viewing time of 15 minutes and 23 seconds watch reached this year. Meaning that, in 2019  we have had the longest recorded time of  Blacktown Fireworks, since I have recorded, allowing the Blacktown LGA community members, to enjoy more viewing time.

I excluded band singing time from these videos. Here are the estimated times that I have recorded:

2013        12 minutes 25 seconds
2014        11 minutes 37 seconds
2015        12 minutes.  5 seconds
2016        13 minutes   9 seconds
2017        13 minutes 50 seconds
2018        12 minutes 37 seconds
2019        15 minutes  23 seconds

With this in mind, a ten minute fireworks display would be as good enough for people to watch on an Australia Day Fireworks event. Anything extra is really an added bonus. Blacktown City Council must then be congratulated and be given the highest award for this extended time of display of fireworks event, allowing this to be increased for our viewing public community, especially over the last couple of years. Thank you to all Councillors and Council Officers, right from the Mayor, Councillor Stephen Bali.

With over 1,500 videos views, results are as follows viewing on You-Tube on each years fire works videos. Some years there was 2 recorded videos: I apologise for this to our community. Here they are:

Australia Day - Blacktown City Council Fireworks VIdeo At Rooty Hill 2018

Well what can I say, I turned upearly yesterday, to (literally and  really) get the top seat on the hill, in preparation to watching the entertainment and fireworks on Australia Day at Rooty Hill organised by Blacktown City Council in 2018.

I was so pleased how everything was organised: from patrolling police to security checking bags, to water statins and Council staff offering to  replemish water bottles. The there were the green plastic bags for  the community to place rubbish in the rubbish bins as they leavethe premises at night. There were also placed rubbish bins in strategic areas and I noticed people actuall using their bins to fill up their rubbish.

The there small amusements for smaller children organised on the far right of stage and the amusement for older children  and adults on the left of stage.

People were well behaved as at least 25,000 to 30,000 people attended the event. people came with folded chairs tio sit propperly, rather then place mats/ blankets on the ground and there there the people that brough thier tents and were hoping innthe begining and were not blowing away. Although,I did notice one that could not be pegged on the ground was about to blow away and next thing I noticed it was packed away.

Now for the entertainment there was Jay Sweeney Band, The Kami's, Christie Lamb, Peusudo Echo and Diesel - to top it up.  How does Blacktown City Council get there's artists to this event is amazing. They are proably preparing for next years Australia Day straight away.

Each band/singer always uplifts crowds as they play theor songs and especially as Peusudo Echo played some 'Golden Oldies' I loved 'The Kami's' they were  great bang the Jay Sweeney Band  was a great introduction band for the day and Christie Lamb sanf up;lifting modern country songs, Diesel kept on going with his  song as he uplifted the spirits of the crowd until count down for the fireworks.

As the sun set the weather seemed to have turned to dark clouds, yet the wet weather held down and allowed the  fireworks to proceed.

On behalf of the community of Mount Druitt and surrounding suburbs, I would like to offer a huge 'Congratulations' to the Mayor Councillor Stephen Bali (NSW Member for Blacktown), all Councillors and Council Officers, for  preparation for the event and ensuring all people from within Blacktown Local Government Area have thoroughly enjoyed witnessing a wonderful fireworks display for Australia Day.

The following pictures are from the time I arrived yesterday at Rooty Hill until the commencement of the fireworks. You will notice how  Tents have bring brough in and foldable chairs, providing a better way to watch the entertainment on stage, on the large screen and prior to commencement of the Fireworks display.

'Happy Australia Day' To All Mount Druitt And Wider Community

Image result for australia day 2017Yes, today is the time of year, where we as Australians, seek pride as we remember our heritage, of being discovered by Captain James Cook.

We look back how our Sydney colony started and how we placed our aboriginal people in our civil society.

Personally, we need to embrace all original backgrounds of Australians and know that we are all different as individuals, by race, religion and origin of birth. Our parents may have had their different native tongues before settling in Australia and  made us who we are.

We must feel positive and appreciate that our 'Australia' land is free from world wars, free from starvation as we are able to feed each  day and can be the on world forefront for  forever eternal peace, in all lands.

As Australians, we talk to our neighbours, friends and families as we offer happiness and forever  peace on our  joyful celebration 'Australian Day'. Let's say 'Happy Australia Day', to someone you don't know.

We can all stand up together with our country pride as we work together for a stronger united nation of peoples that actually care for each other, in peace love and with strong forever hope.

As usual, the  locally famous event is the Blacktown City 'Australia Day' fire works at Rooty Hill click here for details. I will be posting the annual Fireworks video that I produce. so if you miss it and you are at home, you can see it.

The weather report indicates a ' Chance of shower today Click here for weather details from weatherzone. We hope there is no rain but if there is and the event is cancelled keep an eye on @blacktowncc on twitter for results.

We also  congratulate Jo Brigden-Jones, Ambassador for Australian Blacktown City Council of the year 2017 -  Australian Olympian Kayaker.

Blacktown City Council's Australia Day Firework Celebrations 2016 - The Best Year So Far!

How do I know this? Simply, it is researching You Tube videos that I could find with the longest time recorded at Rooty hill for Australia Day Fireworks celebration - stretching from 2011 until current.

Withe recordings I have published since 2013, I have added times as there are 1 to 3 part videos and start the timing from the first sparkling firework to the last:

The results show the following times:

2011 -  12.48 minutes

2013 -  12.25 minutes
2014 -  10.35 minutes
2015 -  12.75 minutes
2016 -  14.34 minutes

I can not substantiate for years prior to 2013 but I have provide You tube videos with the longest record located at Rooty Hill and include all videos from 2006:

Rooty Hill Fireworks 2013-2016 6 videos

Rooty Hill Fireworks 2011 - 12.48 minutes

Rooty Hill Fireworks 2010 - 9.57 minutes

Rooty Hill Fireworks 2009 - 4.00 minutes

Rooty Hill Fireworks 2008 - 1.58 minutes

Rooty Hill Fireworks 2007 - 1.20 minutes

Rooty Hill Fireworks 2006  -  3.26 minutes

This confirms that Blacktown City Council is paying for worthwhile, better and longer entertaining fireworks. This year was best year so far I have been too and I'm sure I'm speaking on behalf of the Mount Druitt community. Keep up the good work!

If anyone has any Australia Day Firework videos at Rooty with longer video recordings for any year(s) please send a link of the You Tube video to myself at nsjpas@gmail.com.

Australia Day -Blacktown City Council - Rooty Hill 2016!

Image result for blacktown council logo
Well, the weather did not turn to wet rain, the clouds appeared dark before the night dark sky and the crowds turn up from all communities and suburbs from the area.

As I arrived about 7pm there was plenty of parking on 'Rooty Hill', which ms it makes it easier to enjoy! That was because there were
plenty of traffic officers directing cars to vacant spots to park. From there it was slightly up the hill and polices and security at the entrance. I felt that there was such a great feeling of safety and security with groups of 6 or more of police officers just about everywhere you turned your eyes.

It brought back memories back when there was intoxicated  community members inspiring hatred, racism, throwing small missiles life cans and drinks at others. I have personal experiences at "Rooty Hill" where I feared for my life as well as others until police officers arrived, near when I sat with my wife  and children. Thank God that authorities have made it 'Alcohol free' and have security checking for alcohol and any weapons, at entrances.

Upon reaching our spot, I could see that a lot more people bring old-away chairs and open tents and there was ample room for groups to choose  sitting spots. There seem to be a dramatic uplift in amusements for children and some grown ups as there was dodgem cars, spinning cars for infants, base ball hit outs, jumping castles, huge slides, SWR FM, food stalls, show bags and many other attractions.

Councillor Jacqueline Donaldson
I caught up with with  Deputy Mayor, Councillor Jacqueline Donaldson (Ward 5) and said a quick 'Hello' to Mayor, Councillor Stephen Bali (Ward 4).

The music and songs were cheerful as 'The McClymonts' took over the stage, about 8.15pm was the National Anthem. I waited and waited as children were blowing soap bubbles, had light up head gear and other glowing apparatuses.

Last year the fireworks started a bit early a bit before 9pm, this year waiting with anticipation the fireworks started 9.05-9.10pm and as it  continued and continued, to hear the children scream with joy, feeling startled, scared as the fireworks exploding, wonderful colorful displays leaving people with smiles on faces and a everlasting feeling of happiness.

I'm sure that the majority of community members enjoyed themselves as the firework display showed that each year is better and better! Well done to all that organised it!

Image result for blacktown city council logoImage result for fireworks cartoon imagesBlacktown City Council Fireworks at Rooty Hill is coming again for Australia Day 2016 and has extra events that is included for the day. Every year in my eyes it gets bigger and better!

Yes, this is the wonderful event that the Councillors/staff prepare for us, so that all Australians enjoy our historical day. The discovery of Australia 246 years ago,  by the Captain James Cook landing at Botany Bay.

Amazing how we changed our landing place from Botany Bay moving to the new settlement at Sydney Cove. Now we have population settlements all around Australia even out West of Sydney to Blacktown City and Mount Druitt Town.

So this is a day to celebrate our history as Australians, whether new or old and coming together at Rooty Hill, you will meet others and catch up briefly, enjoy the entertainment and finally the colorful fireworks that complete the Australia Day events.
