A "New year" means that we need to recharge our thinking tank, our lives or the way we do things, as we celebrate a start to a new year.
It can be the experience of a new beginning or staying in your old ways, continuously. Yet the decision to do so is left with each and every one of us. Sometimes we say we change yet we are too comfortable in our old ways.
Will we turn a new page in our own book or will there be also a new chapter or will the book be finished. That is only God can answer and you will find out
The most important thing to do is be refreshed on "New Years Eve" Day. Think clearly, think of something that is something good you would like to do in your life that can change your life positively. Think positive.
The one thing I discovered in my life recently, is to make other people happy, you have to be happy and love yourself first. That is making yourself cared for and respected by yourself first, then and only then you will be happy enough to love and make others happy.
New Years Eve wish lists can range from a small change in life to a major change in life and throughout the year you will find out if that has happened or not. Remember they are just wishes and they may come out true.
Wishes can be anywhere from giving up something that is not good to your health, taking up walking, jogging, running, becoming more fit (losing all Christmas and Box Day foods eaten), to acts of kindness to someone or others, aiming for a nice holiday spot and time through out the year, giving up time to help others, saving hard for something that you desire, purchase a property, reduce mortgages, spending more quality time with others at home, giving more donations to charity of yours, any type of community volunteering, find new friends, upgrade and update your home and various of other choices. Basically is is thinking of something good only you want to do for thew New Year
Have a great time making that New Year 2019, the new year you want to start to have ' Happy Good Year 2019'. Happy New Year to all community members, Local Blacktown City Councillors past and present and Federal and State members of Parliament and most importantly to all 'whyilovemountdruitt' blogspot and Face Book Group members and readers

Enjoy The New Years Eve Party - Sydney Fireworks
With New Years Eve Coming and millions of people in Sydney and Western Sydney - seeking vantage points along the Sydney Harbour foreshores, below is a very important official website of Sydney NYE 2018*.
It covers entertainment, bookings if any, vantage points and public transport details as commented by Lester on our Face Book Page:
" If you are passing through Hyde Park between 12 pm and 6 pm, say Hi. I'm leading a team of volunteers in the area between the Archibald Fountain and Macquarie Street.
Whatever you do, don't DRIVE into the City. All roads north of Liverpool Street will close after 5 pm. Any vehicles without accreditation or a residents pass will be treated by Police as hostile and they will act accordingly under the security plan designed to protect everyone from Islamic terrorism.
Trains are running to a 24 hour timetable that night and there will be extra NightRide Buses which are departing from Railway Square, outside Central Station."

Merry Special Christmas From "Whyilovemountdruitt'
Yes, I do wish all of you all a MERRY SPECIAL CHRISTMAS as we all celebrate this day is so many special ways. I hope that peacefully you all embrace this day as a day of bringing families together even though families maybe are all over other places.
I have enjoyed 57 Christmas days so far and each Christmas Day is celebrated in different ways and remembered in so many million ways
In Australia, we celebrate Christmas in warmer weather as oppose the majority of countries celebrating with cold and snow. Midnight mass was what was important for my parents to take me too and later with my sister Anne-Marie. The significance was that we could open our presents as little children, straight after arriving home from mass.
Now (being a kid at heart) Children's Mass is important to me, as I celebrated at Holy Family Church Emerton. No one has to follow me to church as I reach out to God and pray for "Love" amongst children allover the world, pray for people understand people and respecting people.
I pray for health for the ones unhealthy, I pray that God give me strength as I look at the people known to be now departed from earth and my life: some friends of my parents, mine and close to heart. I pray for my children to not feel lost and despaired but feel as one in of a flock of sheep that is cared and nurtured by the good shepherd God.
Whilst there is the commercial sense of Christmas with the mad rush of buying gifts for all, we all need to remember the true meanin. Play it g of Christmas is the birth of baby Jesus and the wonderful story that brought him to earthly life. Click here For Catholic Redaings and Gospel for Today
So from here, let's wish neighbours, friends and family the warmest of best wishes for Christmas as children unwrap their gits remembering the presence of The birth of baby Lord Jesus Christ. The loving wishes we give to others can reach out to the whole wide world: Believers or non-believers.
I hope that the Christmas gift of giving is not just in material items to all, it is also from deep within our hearts to all.
May we say hello to the people we norm ally never great,
May we smile, the ones that don't ever smile,
May we not lay down still and join in the human race,
May we see the ones that have blind for a while.
May we shake hands of people that never shake hands,
May we embrace the ones that need that nurtured love,
May we talk to the ones that just want to listen,
May we sing with clear words and hearts from high above.
Anyway enjoy hours of Christmas songs that I have found to be beautiful produced Click here

Thursday 6-9pm March 14th
Sydney Town Hall, Register

What’s on the agenda?
- Affordable Housing
- Rental reform
- Affordable & renewable energy
Who is invited?
- You + 2000 Sydneysiders and allies from across NSW
- NSW Government, Premier
- NSW Opposition, Leader of the Opposition

What do we want?
- Concrete commitments
- Accountable politicians
- Active citizens
Why do you need me to register so early?
A full house is alluring to politicians.
We get one day every four years where people power counts more than money.
So far, the NSW Premier has not yet committed to speaking at the assembly.
If 800-1000 people have registered to attend four months out, it sends a powerful signal to elected officials about the depth of collective commitment to fixing the housing crisis.

Winter In Summer In Mount Druitt.......Unbelieveable!
We are experiencing a significant weather change within our area and it makes us feel different.
I can remember in my younger days when Winter in Sydney (Eastern Suburbs) was Winter and Summer was Summer. I can remember when I was travelling to High School by walking and by bus and had seen the early morning frost on gates and fences of houses. There were foggy mornings that made you not see 3 metres beyond your eyes.
I remember over 28 years ago arriving at Mount Druitt like a lost sheep in the desert and heading by bus the wrong way to the city. I can remember the frost in winter on all lawns walking down footpaths.
I can now see in our current winter: coolness and hardly any frost on lawns of houses and hardly any mist in the cooler winter mornings.
.
While the weather has changed in the last 3 to 4 decades to a warmer climate, the last few weeks we have experienced within Mount Druitt completely high temperature days. This is extreme weather in the beginning of summer to experience to next day ragging storms with hail stones pouring in our streets.
Here is today's photo of how it feels like a winter day in the morning (in summer):

Blacktown City Council - Blacktown Reveals Its Generosity With Overwhelming Support For The Mayoress Community Christmas Gift Appeal - Media Release
Almost 3,000 gifts are on their way to those less fortunate
thanks to the generosity of the Blacktown community
through the Mayoress Community Christmas Gift Appeal.
The presents, delivered to two wonderful charities; Act for
Kids and MacKillop Family Services, and our Sister City

their way to numerous families.
“It has been very heart-warming to see the support of the
Blacktown community,” Blacktown City Mayoress Anne Bali,
said.
“The presents will go a long way to putting a smile on the
face of those who are having a tough time.

disadvantaged children, young people and their families,
including families raising a child with a disability.
“Act for Kids provides free support services to children and
families who have experienced, or are at risk of, child abuse
and neglect, while many families within the Liverpool Plains
Shire Council have been struggling as a result of the drought.

simple gift is a great honour for me.
“We have wrapped a number of gifts including books, toys,
clothing and food. I hope they love their gifts as much as we
loved sending them over.”
