Go The Mighty GWS Giants For 2019 - 28th September 2019

I have been supporting (as spectator), Greater Western Sydney Giants  since their young 2012 days, entry into the AFL competition.
No photo description available.

They have now out performed 16 other AFL teams to reach  the ultimate  prize of a chance of winning the 2019 Grand Final, playing against a strong component Richmond Club.

I would like you all to sing the GWS Club song, once you hear  they have won the game at the end of the 4th Quarter.

This is how they got there, this year Click here

AFL - Semi Finals - Greater Western Sydney Giants vs Brisbane Lions At The Gabba

THE FINALS

This is the footy finals of  Australian Football League (AFL) coming up and the youngest as well as the newest AFL Club has a chance to reach the finals. Myself, I have changed my allegiance for support from Sydney Swans to The GWS Giants back in 2012. This was the year the Giants entered the AFL competition.
They lost game after game in the earlier years, but as they recruited more players and other players went to other clubs/retired they have reached the final 8 the the in last few years.

So here is your opportunity to support them:

Be A Giant - Home Of The Giants AFL & AFLW Team

Living in and around Mount Druitt, there are plenty of sports that we can join as a player and/or as a spectator. There are plenty of sports  clubs and grounds we have to train for as well. One of the sports that was never a sport in NSW, is Australian Football League (AFL) and Australian Football League Women. (AFLW).

In my young days, is was called 'Arial Ping Pong'. South Melbourne Club started 18th June 1874
In 1982, the South Melbourne AFL team relocated to Sydney and was known as 'Sydney Swans'.  Swans won a few finals and then the AFL board realised that Sydney needed a second team. Then came The Greater Western Sydney Giants Team also known as GWS giants in 2012. They were the 18th Team in the AFL national competition Click here on the history of the club .

The GWS Giants have had great history, since their entry into the AFL. They do represent Western Sydney, so if you want to provide support to an AFL Team and you haven't - give them a try.
