Blacktown City Council is staging a community safety forum in Woodcroft on Saturday, 18 November.
“The forum is in response to a constant theme that has come from our community forums: that more information is needed about the response to community safety issues.”

“By bringing representatives of the four emergency services and our residents and ratepayers together, Council is yet again showing how it responds to the needs of its residents and ratepayers,” Mayor of Blacktown City Mayor Stephen Bali.

Representatives from Council, the police, State Emergency Services, NSW Rural Fire Service and St Johns Ambulance will be present to answer any questions from the community.

“Feeling safe is an important part of our Australian lifestyle, and when people raise the issue of safety more than once, then we as your elected leaders need to bring people together to have the conversation about building safer communities,” Mayor Bali said.

“Our community forums have opened the dialogue between residents and Councillors,” Mayor Bali said.

“We have heard their safety issues and want to work toward making people feel safe.

“While Council is not responsible for emergency services, we recognise that people want to have open conversations with emergency services about their concerns,” he said.

“We are inviting you to join us for a free sausage sizzle while you chat to people from the emergency services.”

“This is an important opportunity and we are inviting businesses, residents and people who work in our beautiful city to join us,” he said.
