Slogans/Motto's for Mount Druitt Surburbs to Uplift Our Area!
We have discussed changing all names on Mount Druitt suburbs to appear to sound upper class/posh like living on the North Shore of Sydney Click here for previous blog .
To enhance and uplift the Mount Druitt area, slogans or motto's could be added to to suburbs of Mount Druitt names, to give it a positive identity, showing great pride to the community.
This would be similar to Blacktown City Council's slogan/motto 'Growing with Pride'. Also each suburb could have its on emblem on a flag and be brought over to community events.
So what could be the slogans/motto for each suburb to be within Mount Druitt? I wouldn't know what the final ones would be Here are my suggestions:
Mount Druitt - 'The Mount of a real community'
Whalan - 'The place of vast playing reserves'
Emerton - Local Meeting place to talk'
Dharruk - 'The tribal place of western sydney'
Tregear - 'Learning and Living life'
Bidwill - 'Natural gardens of Mount Druitt'
Shalvey - 'Grows with Family Unity'
Lethbridge Park - 'Bridging for peace'
Wilmott - 'Uniting people together'
Minchinbury - 'Celebrating community success'
Plumpton - 'The original place of Blacktown'
Blackett - 'Moving the community forward'
Dharruk - 'Working together as a community'
Hebersham - 'Connecting with our community'
Glendining -'Progresses to Success'
Rooty Hill -'Bringing Sports to the world'
Blacktown City Council could arrange for a community competition, (better ones then mentioned above), including inspirational advice from our local aboriginal community. Once we combine all these slogans/motto's together, they create great images of our communities. This could well be how everyone feels about Mount Druitt, instilling super vital community pride to each person, every day
If Blacktown City Council takes up this initiative, then from each suburb winners of a slogan/motto competition, winners could be awarded financially, with a certificate and a small trophy. The announcement of this competition, could be made at the Mount Druitt festival.
Do you this this would be successful? Let us known by adding comments, please!

Charity From Former Whalan Children Given To Parents - Who Says Mount Druitt Children Don't Care!
For many years I had been traveling on a Busways 755 bus from Whalan to Mount Druitt. There was a wonderful person that I called, 'Peter the Painter'. His voice being loud, carried throughout the bus when he spoke. He wanted to be known. This is a true story that I am so proud to tell you. It shows you that children within Mount Druitt have got true heart or their parents. I wonder if you would do this, if your parents needed assistance?
Peter and I shared many conversations on the bus and also on Sydney Trains traveling to and from work: stories were told, we comforted each other and we consoled ourselves when our rugby league football teams lost (especially if our teams played against each other).
As a West Sydney Tigers supporter, Peter said. 'When they lost they didn't eat the right pussy cat food or didn't eat enough of it!' With myself being a South Sydney bunnies support, my response was if my team lost, 'We haven't eaten enough carrots or we must have eaten 'whiskers' cat food!'
In recent years, he retired as he had some health issues. Last year, he sold his house for under $400K and has moved yo a villa in Richmond/Windsor area. The villa was an extra $130k, of which he hadn't had the difference in funds to pay for it. What happened from here was something that has touched my touched.
Both their own children financially have dug deep into their pockets: his daughter donated her life time savings of $30K and his son went deeper and provide $100K. So they made their parents so proud to purchase and live into their new villa, making life comfortable for them. The property is in the parents name and all are living happily, pending current health issues for their parents.
I remember these children for the last 25 years, they completed their Higher School Certificate, both having success in life as worker and the other as a business person.
So here is a story where parents help children in their younger years and then children pouring out their hearts to the parents in need! Mount Druitt children do care! Charity in this case is repaid!
Where is struggle street when you need them?

We In Mount Druitt And Surrounding Suburbs Feel Sympathy For Young Man Killed At Ralph Street, Mount Druitt -Come To The Memorial
Dawson Mall cordoned off area |
Personally, I do not want to know how this person may have been murdered, I am shocked that it has happened within the Shopping Hub of Mount Druitt.
Firstly, on behalf of our community, I would like to offer condolences, to the family, friends and community that knew 'Teddy' and hope he now rests in peace.
To the person that may have been arrested for this crime, we hope that there is feelings of remorse and that with our judicial system, that the judicial judgment the crime!
We are all trying to improve the community, maybe this can bind the community in such a way that we all treat each other as with great high respect that this never happens again! Treat each other as how you would like to be treated, really well.

This morning the Westfield entrance to Dawson Mall was blocked and everyone was asked to go around a different way to Dawson Mall. I had to exit Westfield near the Woolworth entrance and walk around to Dawson Mall. I asked the constable why the area was cordoned off and the explanation was there was a murder overnight and they didn't want the public to see the deceased body. Later at Mount Druitt train station one male commuter explained that a twenty year old was stabbed in the head - whether this is true or not is not important! Police Chopper was hovering above the Hub of Mount Druitt. I then noticed that the cordoned off area was extended up to Mount Street, Mount Druitt.
From 2770 Chat, Watch, Sell and Buy Face Book Group, there is a memorial for Teddy, near the scene where the murder was, NO BASHING. This was shared on 2770 watch seconded. And requested by the victims family / friends to share. May he RIP.:

NSW IPART's Assessment of Blacktown Local Government For Future Proposals 'Unfit' For Global City Council!
From the NSW Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal, the good news is Blacktown Local Government is 'Not fit' or 'Unfit' to enter or merge with another Council to become a global Council. It stays as it is as a stand alone Council and why I think that is the case is we have got the highest populated Council in NSW.
With Sydney metropolitan and inner metropolitan Councils (having smaller populations), by them merging with other Councils, this will place their population near or close to ours and be a fairer way of Council's managing their areas.
That means for Blacktown City Council residents, of which Mount Druitt is a highly populated precinct, we will have the right amount of services and infrastructure provided from our own local government.

Will Mount Druitt Have Driverless Trains In Future Years To Come?
Why do I Ask this question now? Simply because we have the CEO of Sydney Trains, Howard Collins on board, former the chief operating officer of the London Underground. So this means what ever he has learned from the London Underground, will be passed over to our Sydney Trains.
In the London Underground, they are introducing 250 driverless trains in the mid 2020's Click here for information .We are having driverless trains starting on the North/West Rail Link Click here for more information.
This could mean that Mr Collins could be looking to implement the same within the Sydney Trains network, within the next few years as well but there are major issues that would need to be resolved first. Our current train carriages, will not reach same level heights meeting the floor level to the platforms. Each train station platform has different level of heights, where as for example Mount Druitt, the Trains floor is normally higher then platform. This is why there is station assistance with wheelchair access commuters.
Simply, if the Sydney Trains were to focus on leveling all train station platforms heights as being done during the construction of the Northwest Rail link, on all Sydney Train Station then drivers trains would be easier to release into the network.
Have a look at this for example:
State Member for Mount Druitt, Edmond Atalla, a qualified engineer would understand this and advocate for this in NSW Parliament. If he does, we hope he would notify us of this and provide a copy of his speech or video, if he raises this issue in NSW Parliament.
