NSW IPART's Assessment of Blacktown Local Government For Future Proposals 'Unfit' For Global City Council!

From the NSW Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal, the good news is Blacktown Local Government  is 'Not fit' or 'Unfit' to enter or merge with another Council to become a global Council. It stays as it is as a stand alone Council and why I think that is the case is we have got the highest populated Council in NSW.

With Sydney metropolitan and inner metropolitan Councils (having smaller populations), by them merging with other Councils,  this will place their population near or close to ours and be a fairer way of Council's managing their areas.

That means for Blacktown City Council residents, of which Mount Druitt is a highly populated precinct, we will have the right amount of services and infrastructure provided from our own local government.
