Job Creation For The Youth - Wayne From Tregear!
That we take for granted the political stance of each day. It is without doubt that speaking to different community members.
To give you an example, Wayne from Tregear with a wife, 3 children and 2 grandchildren and was speaking of the young in our area. He finds there are 2 main reasons why the young may have difficult in finding jobs, combined with minimum wages and the inability and affordability to buy into the current Real Estate market.
He has some some good strong points that I agree on and he also out how all governments both Liberal and Labor, federal, state and where possible local, should be looking at job creating industries for the future, dealing with technological changes. Jobs that are long term and permanent income.
The current average work that employers are hiring is largely casual, with no benefits like annual leave, sick leave, long service not set hours per week on contract. This doesn't create job security by having more casual jobs then permanent jobs. With job security comes a better lifestyle and living standards, confidence and growth of the national economy.
Wayne believes that our youth once employed should join unions as they do look after minimum wages and protect them. I also agree with this but unions getting wage rises places risk with employers and business owner and dips into their profit. Whereas a tax deduction does not affect the employers profitability margin and be a better result for all.
Keeping in mind all employers have expenses to pay: rent, accountant fees, all wages, superannuation guarantee, relevant costs to supply their goods and services also any other running costs. Yet there are the multi-million dollar profit companies that could allow for minimum wages to be increased and very small businesses may not be able to afford or these minimum youth wage increases. If there is an increase in wages the employer may not be able to let go of employees, especially if the profit margin was slim or come to a worse situation close the business.
Sure the National and State wage awards that set the minimum youth wages must be reviewed by the relevant wage commission based on inflation and unemployment rates. My suggestion is for employers to add in the employment benefits that can be achieved. Once probation is completion and annual and half-yearly performance reviews, where bonuses could be awards as well as annual wage award increases. This is to be based on realistic individual performance against company performance key performance indicators as long as minimum standards are met, maintained and/or exceeded by the young employees.
No unions may be involved but if there is no agreement met on this suggestion, an outside arbitrator can be set to resolve any disagreements. Where governments give here is by providing with primary and secondary education curriculum that meets young career paths that fits in with community needs.
Guidance Councillors must be available on site at schools providing that encouragement and guidance that is required to meet the youths career goals. Giving them the youth the right choices required to end up with the correct qualifications and also be self-satisfied. Additional to this, potential employers could also be encourage to employ youths starting with part time and ending up long term full time

ATM's Being Replaced at Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Dawson Mall, Mount Druitt Or Were They?
When we walk past places as we travel to and from home, shops or work, we are sometime oblivious to what is happening around ourselves. This is unless there is noises and working activity around and when you notice it, questions maybe raised.
So why am I discussing this in this way? It was unusual that last night when both another man from the Mount Druitt community and I heard major noises coming out of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia at Dawson Mall, Mount Druitt. As we turned our head we had seen workmen removing ATM machines, out of the wall and working inside the Commonwealth of Australia's Bank, itself.
How would you look at this situation. Did they look like ''Bank-robbers?" Well, we both agreed they looked like workmen, so we continued to walk but I had to notify the NSW Police, so the Mount Druitt Police, could investigate it. I kept the NSW Police that they could be legitimate workers and left it to be checked out.
This morning the result was new ATM's being installed. So it seems they were legitimate workers! Can you notice the difference?
So why am I discussing this in this way? Bent Westfield Mount Druitt "Give Way" Sign - And Obsured!
Most of the times we walk/drive past signs that tell us what to do. They are mostly helpful as they are telling something that is important to us. If we ignore them, things may go wrong in life.
Yet, if we can't read signs because they are bent or obscured from viewing, then the case for potential accidents may increase.
So in Westfield Mount Druitt, I had noticed for a few weeks a bent "GIVE WAY" sign, right outside the Northern intersection near the Coles end: exit and entry.
How does Westfield Mount Druitt fix these up, they don't - from what the community sees! As this in an important improvement that makes a better Mount Druitt, we suggest that the Blacktown City Council discusses this issue with Westfield Mount Druitt management, to ensure that all signs are checked regularly, so that the area is safer for driving and they are properly seen by all.
I also noticed that not only is bent, it is hiding behind the poles that are not used anymore - maybe they should be removed, so the sign is not obscured. If that is the case and there is an accident at this intersection, who is to blame... based on evidence Westfield Mount Druitt!

Councillor Jacqueline Donaldson's Face Book Support Comments Keep On Coming In!
As previously reported about Ward 5 Councillor Jacqueline Donaldson from Blacktown City Council, has resigned yesterday from The Liberal Party.

- Mayumi Fernando I'm sorry to read your decision Councillor Jacqueline Donaldson. But I respect it. You have been one of the stalwarts of the party for a long time. Sometimes, one has to stick to his principles.
- Jean-Francois Svoboda It is with sadness that you have told us publicly of your decision - I have known you for almost 6 years doing the right thing for Blacktown Liberals , especially in Ward 5. A lot of people in Ward 5 know you are a strong Councillor and even local Labor Party people have told myself why they have voted for you in the past. I've never known you to racist , neither now, in the past nor would I think you would do it in the future. I offer my strong support to you and offer you other Liberal colleagues blessings as Councillor Jacqueline Donaldson has been a strong supporter for Mount Druitt Commuters Improvement Group Inc. and had a such a strong personal increase in vote in Ward 5 as a returned Liberal Party Member. Liberals will miss her and never Lead Council on their own votes. I hope she contests the next Council Elections in 2016 as an Independent and then wins the Ward 5 seat again!
