Response From Blacktown City Council - Traffic Management Officer

An email response 2 days from Blacktown City Council Traffic Management Officer, indicates they are interested at reviewing the 'kiss and Ride Signs' and referring to NSW Roads and maritime Services, which is part of Service NSW.

Maybe there might be a change in  signs or maybe not. The main thing is they have reviewed the issue and are thinking about it.

Here is the email sent  2 days ago:

Dear Mr Svoboda

Thank you for your suggestion to change the name of ‘Kiss & Ride area”. You have suggested that it is more appropriate to change ‘Kiss & Ride’  area into ‘Park & Ride’ area.

We have investigated this matter. ‘Kiss & Ride’ area sign is a supplementary sign used in ‘No Parking’ area.  ‘Kiss & Ride’ area is a standard Roads & Maritime Services (RMS) approved sign. Therefore Council cannot change the name of ‘Kiss & Ride’ sign. However we have requested RMS, they investigate this matter.

Regards
