IPART has Reviewed Public Transport Fares and Now Public Pensioner Rate Payer Rates - is this fair?
Pensioner Council rate discount under review again! This time by the NSW State Government.
The 2012/14 Blacktown council unfortunately increased the council rats for pensioners by 32%. When I became Mayor in 2014, I was proud to be part of a team that was able to reorganise the budgets of 2014/16 that saw the massive pensioner rate increases reversed; once again allowed people with disabilities and aged pensioners back into our pools for free; and, delivered a record investment on works infrastructure spending.
Not too hard to achieve these great outcomes when you have a great team
all striving for the same goals of fairness and improvements in our
local council area.
