Since March 25th 2017 Storm - Community Infrastructure Still Required ' whyilovemountdruitt' Face Book Group

Since the March 25th storm this year. Repairs still to be addressed. Fallen pole Luxford road between Carlisle and Belmore avenues. Plus Mount Druitt Public School , The school I think would be depressing to some of the students and staff.

Image may contain: tree, plant, sky and outdoor

This is  something that I though would have been updated/ upgraded by now. How can a community go on like this? What is the issue with the Mount Druitt Public School, no funding or  more funding or Insurance not  pay for it?

I do think that this should be looked into by all stake holders  and questioned, why this has not been attended too as well.

With the street sign not being replaced, maybe it is still being produced. We will find out.

Possible New Pedestrian Walking Signs - Should Council Push Ahead With Them? - Parramatta City Council

Could Blacktown City Council consider warning signs on footpaths were  pedestrian are crossing roads?

I have picked this up from Parramatta City Council that they have on footpaths  just before you walk across a pedestrian crossing. I actually think these signs would not only work on pedestrian crossings, but on street corners where there is no street signs.

Maybe, they could consider these foot path signs in every major street corner. When we walk we look in front of us, mostly looking at ground, to see if there is any obstructions, in the way.

I am asking Blacktown City Council, to could consider these  ideas, which may prevent future potential car accidents?

No 'Kelly Close Street Signs' at Luxford Road Entrance, At Mount Druitt

Overhearing the St Vinnies Van driver advised he was  looking for Kelly Close and ended up at Ropes Crossing and the reason why was there was no 'Kelly Close Street Sign' an the corner of  Luxford Road and Kelly Close, Mount Druitt, make me feel astonished. It was mentioned  that there are plenty of signs to get you here but no proper 'Kelly Close signs.

It appears that further inspection from myself, there is no Kelly Close Street signs at the  corner of Luxford Road and  Kelly Close, yet I was doing this in night time.

We require this to be checked and if that is correct there is  no Street signs for Kelly Close, as previously mentioned, that this is to be investigated and a remedy located to resolve situation.

New Meacher Street Sign And Warning Sign Required!

Time and time again, we are constantly seeing the destruction via graffiti of road signs and street signs that need instant removal and replacement of. Defacing these is a criminal offense, from what I believe!

I'm not to sure if NSW Roads and Maritime Services does regular checks in our area as this is been like this for a few weeks. This is at the corner of Notley and Meacher Streets, Mount Druitt, we hope stake holders can attend to this immediately and make it a better place:

Maybe, when they place the new signs up the fees/fines for defacing these signs should be added and displayed to the community! Just a thought!

Please if you see signs that need replacing email us with your name, suburb, where the street sign and provide a photo of it. We will then publish it for you and our community to give the great changes we need, making an improved Mount Druitt!

Illegal Communy Notices - It Is The Same Issue as Election Posters On Electricity Poles - Needs To Be Removed

Just imagine that  in every street, we allow  personal signs to be placed on other signs, trees and poles, how would it look like? Well, it would not look very impressive, it would  distract the look of the community and there is other ways to advertise personal ads.

This is how it could could look and although, it looks organised, to me it is also confusing. Which sign would you read? Or what is the main sign.

I'm not to sure what the laws are in relation to leaving  signs publicly in or hanging on trees. I would presume that there is some law or by-law that really doesn't allow for this to happen - but it happens! On time to time, we do see personal signs out to be seen by the public in different places, out in the streets but now with social media - this could change.

Face Book may be a means or way were local authorities could allow communities to advertise events like garage sales possibly in a legal way rather than do it this way:

Sign Post In Mount Druitt Needs To Be Straightened!

It appears that 2 days ago, there are people that have no better things to do, then to uproot Street Signs and displace them, making our Mount Druitt area look 'bad'!

I have requested that Blacktown City Council, attend to fix up the Kaylyn Place Mount Druitt, by straightening the post and rest it and also asked  for the NSW Police to investigate it!

Image result for snap send solveI also immediately used the application, 'Snap, Send and Solve' and it has been sent directly to Blacktown City Council'.

May I suggest any community member use 'Snap, send and Solve' for any upgrades and maintenance throughout our wider Mount Druitt community and see the results.

Maybe Blacktown City Council can promote this application on their website!

Crooked & Bent Signs In And Around Mount Druitt!

Yes, are times we find various street signs eight crooked, bent or even uprooted. Maybe roadside accidents have caused some of these signs to bend and  maybe cause by anti-social behviour in our streets.

Here are a few of the signs located in Mount Druitt, we hope that relevant stake holders take care of them:
Corner of Hythe & Pierce Streets - Angling sign

Corner of Kelly Close & Luxford Roads Bent Sign
