Hot Sydney Trains - Airconditioning Required To Cool Down Commuters - 'St Marys-Mount Druitt Star'

We thank Reporter, Heath Parkes-Hupton from the St-Marys-Mount Druitt Star' for trying to help us get better conditions on trains running on the  Sydney Trains T1 Western Line. Where recently there has been a couple of days where  Sydney trains have not issued  air-conditioned trains to our important commuters, needing to have that extra comfort to make it easier to reach home, do the shopping, visit friends or even start work.

This can place commuters in better moods by having proper train carriage services, with proper air-conditioned trains. Gone are the days where we used to open windows and cop the heat in our face.

That regular train carriages are out of service and replacing 2nd rated train carriages, is a little bit rich

The State of Country and Chifley Federal Election 2016 So Far & Congratulations to Ed Husic!

Re-elected member of Chifley Federal Seat, Ed Husic has romped homing with more surging votes, since last reported, on 2 party preferred and still without Pre-poll and Postal voting.

Image result for ed husicI would like to  congratulate Ed Husic, who has really placed Mount Druitt and surrounding suburbs in a good map, by using social  media like his website, Face Book page and gets the invitation to talk to the TV media. I can can he is not shy of the TV media and  he is the only person  in our area that gets recognised by this media.

He is not a shadow cabinet minister and yet he is performing as a leader for the future in our country. Maybe something he is not expecting, pending his ambitions.

Ed Husic, Australian Labor Party has won so far with a majority of 69.92% (52,516) of the formal polled vote (75,149) with Mohit Khan, Liberal Party 30.08% (22,588) of the formal polled vote. (from the AEC website)

I hope that Ed focuses on Federal issues as well as keep help State issues. My comment made to a Mount Druitt-St Marys Standard Face Book Page post:
Heading- Ed Husic wins Chifley, with an even bigger margin. How he is promising a unified voice for western Sydney after Labor cleans up across the region. What are the issues they should fight for?

My Comments:
Mostly Ed has backed a lot of State issues - and that is good! It expands his voice on behalf of us being heard! I think he just keeps on going at every media he can and then plans to get industry and business in the area to reduce unemployment. Plan with State Members and Local Blacktown City Councillors: how Federal Government Funding can assist roads improvement, brightening up of Dawson Mall, more policing, Mount Druitt hospital necessary improvements, improvements in expansion and promotion of public transport, with lack of buses early in morning weekends and late at nights. Look at a Botanical garden near/at the Hub of Mount Druitt or nearby parks/reserves, look at public housing and ensure there are housing housing the right amount of tenants. Create something interesting in the area that brings tourists into the area. Job creation schemes through a TAFE courses assistance that will link to employers that will provide full assistance to any unemployed person. Federal funding to Assist Meca Mt Druitt, Vinnies Vans, Ignite Food Store & Op Shop Emerton, PCYC Food give-aways and all other charities helping the poor and needed.

On the Federal front both  Federal Leaders have done pretty well to hang into Leadership of Australian Federal government. Who ever wins will have a difficult road to drive until next election and there could even be another Federal early election prior to the next 3 years. At present ( from AEC website) the House of Representatives standings are:
Liberal/National              70 seats
Australian Labor Party    71 seats
The Greens                        1 seat
Kater's Australian Party    1 seat
Nick Xenophon Team       1  seat
Independents                     2  seats
In Doubt                            4  seats

We will provide further updates as it comes. This is one of the reasons why I will never run for any elections, although I have been asked in the past.

Winners in Chifley Federal Seat Re-eclected Ed Husic And Formal Votes!

So, for me there was  a few winners in Chifley Federal Election on 2nd July 2016. Obviously, the major winner was  re-elected member Ed Husic has picked up a swing of 8.43% , total votes of  44,013 on a two party preferred against Liberal party candidate, Mohit Kumar.

Not counting absent, provisional, Pre Poll and  postal voting being counted, he has done pretty well. On Primary votes, Liberals had a 9.10% against them. The small winners were Joshua Green, Christian Democrats increase swing of 5.53%, The Greens 1.62% swing towards them and independent Ammar Khan 0.46% from last election.

The big winner, not talked about was that formal votes had increased by 5.42%, reducing Informal by the same Margin, with 69,932 of the votes counted so far that means that means 3,790 more votes were not counted as formal. That is an astonishing result for Chifley, when I have been advocating for informal votes to be made into formal votes.

As for the State of the Country politically, there are challenges from minor parties and independents to make it harder for any government to govern.

The Great Thing Of Australian Electoral Commission At Mount Druitt Hub: Early Voting - Good For Chifley, Lindsay and McMahon Voters!

Image result for australian electoral commissionIn this Australian Federal Election, there is a great initiative happening for Prepoll or now otherwise called "Early Voting".

This is the second time I have done this in my life, the first in a former  State election, in my recall. I found this to be an easy way of freeing my day on Saturday, allowing me to know my vote has been counted and  I have polled by vote. As to how I voted all I can say is I haven't voted informal, the rest is private, like everyone's  vote is a private decision. Click here for my post on formal voting

At the Mount Druitt Hub, in Mount Druitt Town Square, the Australian Electoral Commission's Regional Office accepts voters  from Chifley, McMahon and Lindsay Federal Offices. This makes it so much easier for voters residing on the outskirts of Mount Druitt in different Federal Electorates like Minchinbury and St Marys for example.
