Split from Blacktown Electorate and formed as a separate electorate in 1971. Abolished in 1981 and split between Riverstone and St Marys. Reestablished in 1991. Has always been held by Labor. Current member is Edmond Atalla (ALP) who holds the seat by a margin of 9.4%.
