It appears that after speaking to Opal, combined train tickets with entry to Sydney's Royal Easter Show is not on offer this year, which has been on offer to purchase train tickets at any Sydney Train Stations before, each year.
You can use your current Opal Card and then purchase your tickets at the Sydney Royal Easter Show or purchase your tickets online (which includes train fares). Then you cannot tap and go -you will have to show your ticket to station assistants.

I do think Opal could have provided an one-off card which covers for future Sydney Royal Easter Show events for public transport travel.
