Image result for taxis mount druittMy question is was community members from Mount Druitt invited to complete the surveys? Maybe, we will not know! Taxis are regularly used  by our wider Mount Druitt community, to reach destinations in quicker times rather than using buses. It also accommodates for customers luggage and shopping items, making it easier to reach to their point of destination, with less stress and in a more comfortable mood.

Mount Druitt Taxi Drivers Want More Protection At Mount Druitt Taxi Stand!

A couple of Taxi Drivers at Mount Druitt Taxi Stand, last night are seeking supporting for multiple security cameras to be placed on the outside of the walkway  overpass to Mount Druitt Police Station. They advise this will avert any anti-social behaviors that may occur to both passengers or taxi drivers. It 3 cameras were set high above on he walk way overpass, then there would be more safety for the general community.

Also in great demand is awnings covering taxi commuters for protection  of extreme wet days  or hot days, as they bring their groceries, above the taxi stand on North Parade. This should cover three taxi lengths and speed humps are right on the right lane heading as a lot of cars do not reduce speed as taxis leave the taxi stand!

This is something that the NSW Taxi Council, Blacktown City Council, NSW RMS and NSW State Member of Mount Druitt, need to look at for improved taxi stand and commuter improvements. Let us see how we go!!!!

This Is What Signs We Need At Mount Druitt Bus Interchange, Train Station And Taxi Stands Not Small Signs Fading - Anti -Smoke Free Laws Signs At Public Transport Centres!

This was spotted at Blacktown train station
Time and time again, we ask all public transport stake holders to place appropriate signs that will deter smokers continuing to smoke at public transport, bus tops, bus interchanges and train stations. In fact  - there are no signs at all bus stops  in and around Mount Druitt. This issues has been treated lightly outside of Mount Druitt bus interchange - only small signs that are fading and are hardly seen stake holders are happy with. The large sign above is the one needed, to be placed everywhere!
Small fading signs at Mount Druitt Bus Interchange

There needs to be a dramatic change to adhere to this law to educate the smoking community and larger signs must be placed at Mount Druitt Train Station, Bus Interchange, Taxi Stand, corridors, passageways and escalators leading to and from each  transport place on entry and exit.
No Signs at Mount Druitt taxi stand just cigarette butts on the ground

Because Public Transport State holders may not be taking this law seriously, I'm getting people lighting cigarettes in front of myself, and huge puffs of exhaled smoke being thrown right in front of my face.

Let's see fines  $300.00 being issued to community members breaching this law! Let have the local papers grab this story in their hands and tell the community how health and safety of others is important as well as  not smoking in public transport areas.

Left Ugly and Dirty - Under The Mount Druitt Bus Interchnange Escalators Leading To Mount Druitt Train Station And To Dawson Mall

Unbeknown to a lot of community members, if you are standing at the beginning entrance of the Mount Druitt Taxi Stand, and face upwards towards Dawson Mall - you face ugly, dirty grey and black concrete.

This ugly and grey concrete doesn't add colour to the area and is situated under the escalators at Mount Druitt Bus interchange leading south to Mount Druitt  train station and North along Dawson Mall. I believe that it has been there, since 2004 and I had not noticed it until yesterday.

All I ask of, on behalf of the community, is clean it and colour it to provide a brighter appearance for the entire community. Something we can all be proud of! The positive thing is the wall is painted over, it looks like painters ran out of paint 11 years ago!
