Westfield Local Heroes - I Missed Out - But Are You In There With A Chance.....

I was recently nominated as Westfield Local Hero recently and I was so proud that I was. Although, I have always said that I am never after fame, I just want to ensure our community gets the infrastructure that we need to make our community, a great place to live in. I wanted holes in roads and footpaths filled, pedestrian lights placed where they should be. Many , many other community improvements.

Thank you for your updated response:

Dear John,

You were recently nominated in the Westfield Local Heroes program for your work to improve the social wellbeing and harmony in your local community.

The response to the Westfield Local Heroes program was very high, and the calibre of nominations was very strong. On this occasion, your nomination was unsuccessful in being shortlisted to progress to the community vote.

We want to personally thank you for the important contribution you make to the local community, and will publicly acknowledge you and all of our other wonderful 2019 nominees on our Westfield centres’ websites from 30 July. Visit www.westfield.com.au/local-heroes.

Westfield Local Heroes voting: On July 30 we will publish the shortlisted finalists for all Westfield Centres, should you wish to cast your vote. Visit www.westfield.com.au/local-heroes.

Westfield Local Heroes 2020:
You are eligible for nomination again in the 2020 Westfield Local Heroes program. Sign up via your local Westfield Centre to stay up to date www.westfield.com.au

Meanwhile, our Westfield Centre teams work closely with key local organisations and individuals in many ways, and we encourage you to reach out directly to your local Westfield Centre Brand Experience team via
www.westfield.com.au if you want to learn more about any of the following:

Community Sites: We provide a dedicated space in all Westfield centres for community-focused groups (i.e. not-for-profit sports groups, community groups, charities and welfare organisations) to connect with people in the local area.

Community relationships: Every Westfield Centre identifies and manages a number of key relationships with community organisations to deliver beneficial outcomes to the local area.

Australian of the Year Awards: Have you also considered nominating an individual for the Australian of the Year Awards?

Nominations for the 2020
Australian of the Year Awards close on 31 July 2019.

Kind regards,

Community Experience Team
